So I was commanding last night, and one of the squad leaders called me "sir" over VOIP. I got a kick out of it.
I should've told him to choke himself, lol.

I would have said, Don't call me Sir, I'm a Sergeant I work for a livingantin0de wrote:

It is very odd to see Respect and Manners on a BF2 serverantin0de wrote:
Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't mean to poke fun. If you knew me, you'd know I'm not typically commanding of the title "sir." I just found it odd, that's all.
then maybe you should change you sig, POTHEAD and a navy cadet, i dont think soFubarJonny wrote:
saying sir isnt just a military thing. Im in the US navy cadets and i say sir to poeple i just meet on the street its called respect.
The line between game and life has blurred for some. My girlfriend's cousin (~8 years old) describes Mario & Luigi as his "friends." That breaks my heart.lukeiamnotyourfather wrote:
You shouldnt deserve respect based on rank... thats retarded
a)ppl work and go to school for a living
b)Rank means nothing
and c)on a graph, in which axis is rank and the other is life, the line is curved. high rank=no life low rank=usually the ppl who deserve some respect
Go right now, pick her up, and put her on a swing or a slide! RUN before it's too late! GO GO GO wort wort wortThe line between game and life has blurred for some. My girlfriend's cousin (~8 years old) describes Mario & Luigi as his "friends." That breaks my heart.

Pothead and a republican, now that seems kind of strange to melagerfool wrote:

When friends ask me why I don't do in-game voip, I send them links of videos with little shits cussing and screaming like a rude sailor (no offense fubarjohnny).Mele4nyc wrote:
One word that describes this thread: Immature
You poke fun at something that is just completely pointless. Theres nothing wrong with showing respect to a stranger, its sad that so many 10 year olds with bad mouths play this game.
That's a bias point of view, concidering that most people who say that have low ranks (no offense). I cant defend playing 2000 hours, but what I can say is that a lot of the high rank players (colonels and up) do have lives besides this game, the problem is most player prejudge them and immediately either call out "Hax" or "You have no life go get some fresh air". Sorry, but some people consider this game a hobby and I see nothing wrong with spending most of your free time online playing this game especially if you are good. And yes playing longer and having a higher rank does mean that player is likely to be more skilled then you are. However, dont look at them as a player with a high rank but instead look at them as a stranger you met on the street. Most BF2 players would think twice about speaking to another person the way they speak in BF2. I know I'm guilty of this aswell.lukeiamnotyourfather wrote:
