I hate this too, but I know that I cannot force the tank to be "mine". If somebody jumps in while I'm repairing then I also jump in and shout "bail out", actually works most of the time. Sometimes they don't even drive away when jumping into the tank, instead they goto to the gunners turret and protect me while I repair. There are nice ppl 2.

I usually jump in and drive as soon as I hear anyone near, but if someone steals my tank and won't bail out I just ride with them until they die and spawns with the tank, or I just takes a car and continues with that...

Your in your armor. Your owning and then you get hit, you need repairs fast. You back up to a safe place and get out to repair only to see a teamate run and steal your armor like the pisshead he is and drive off leaving you stranded. This happened to me 5 times and it REALLY pisses me off when fags do that. Thoughts?
Answer: run under the tank tracks, give them a TK for their effort.  Then on teamtalk bitch about how they stole the vehicle you were repairing after killing you for it.  Then start a kick vote.

I try to do that but whenever I repair in front of the tank I get shot so I repair on the side or behind so they can just jump in and speed away. The servers I play on usually have kickvote off but the admin wasnt on those few rounds to kick the guy. I suppose I have to risk being killed to protect my fucking tank because of the immatureness of half the BF2 community.

You know what I do ? If I'm up top as a gunner and the tank is beat up and the engineer hops out to repair it I quickly jump in the drivers seat so I have the main gun and coax 50 for maximum protection . When the tank is repaired I go back into the gunners position . Off we go . It's called team work .

Funny, the original poster is talking about kids who steal his tank when he is repairing.  How does sticking c4 on the tank have anything to do with that?  Unless of course your Engy kit has c4....

Yeah there complete assholes. I'm the complete opposite.
I'll jump in the tank while there repairing it:
a) so they get repair points (I'm nice like that).
b) An enemy want steal it.
c) i can defend them while there repairing.

whens hes finished repairing I either switch to gunner or jump out letting him back in.
