I have a joystick that is probably about 15 years old. I wonder how that would work. I don't think it's even USB! I haven't tried flying with my Saitek controller yet.
i use mouse and keybaord - i think its just practice whatever you use tho. i dont think using a joystick makes you any better, i get good scores when in plane and can do all the moves that joystick users can just as well with a mouse.
if a piolt uses the mouse he will get owned by a joystick uses because the mouse can't move as good and turn as good as the joystick
Some say keyboard, some say mouse, some say joystick but it makes a big difference from who you hear it. Some people here say keyboard FTW while they have a K/D of 0,6 in a jet.
In a real jet its being done with a joystick. Never heard or seen a real jet being controlled by a keyboard. But than again, real jets have more advanced joystick(s) - and - it is just a game.

The biggest problem for me when I´m flying airplanes is that I dont know when to release the bombs, its either to early or to late. ONE time I have succeded to bomb a tank... I use keyboard & mouse.

just start a local server...there u can practice ur flight skillz without annoying anyone
U can play without the game having started....so there will be no moving targets, but still
enough tanks standing around to bomb em gave me alto of experience

How on earth can you choose to control your jet with either a 0 or 100 % 'steer' (A/D), and an innacurate method of controling how sharp you turn (Not to mention running out of mouse space) and the lock of throttle control. having -100%, 0, and 100% as your options.
Come on people, there is NO way a keyboard is better than a joystick. Spend more than 50 hours in the skies to begin with before going 'omgz keyboard ftw!' and then crashing into a nearby tree/crane/building/mountain/ocean.
Please do, since 1.2, I have met TWO pilots who've had any clue as to what they were doing. I know one of them personally, He was a pilot himself, and the other had about 350 hours of flying. The rest of the pilots thesedays expect their flares to stop every missle from hitting them when they're flying straight and shake me off their tails too
Hmm, maybe I should make a guide to dogfighting maneauvres.. Put Flash to some good use

Practice. There is no easy trick to doing it (other than flying slow, wich you should NEVER do. NEVER. NO excuses. not even to shoot down choppers. only when landing.)JON.ANTONSSON wrote:

its not much........ if it was with an f35 without raping, good job, but in the j-10 (asuming you use 1.21 or newer) its.... not much (doesent matter what level, and raping is not killing!)Jussimies wrote:

personnally I find that mouses are way more precise to gun ground targets but joysticks worth the purchase because of their turning capabilities.
