HA ha! That reminds me of when I tried to get my parachute badge. I took a jet up to the shaky zone, hopped out, pulled my chute, got my ribbon and conitnued to sit there for about ten fucking minutes going "WTF, I can't even see the ground yet". I only played once on an infantry only Karkand server some time ago, but that time I didn't know they were forbidden and just thought it was fun to play without vehicles... that said, I've never tried to do any cheap tricks to raise my stats, cause I couldn't look at them and be proud if I had cheated them.

lol! The only the padding I have been involved in is padding other peoples stats by being really, really crap and walking into their grenades/bullets/sharp sticks at every opportunity. My stats tell the story really.
I had no idea what I was doing... first ranked game I ever played, I was the victim in the knife revive thing(look at my worst enemies... he killed me 12 times) I then got the guy back and ended up getting my basic knife badge... so it was sort of stat padding, but with the intent to get revenge. Didn't even know about badges or points.
Never even knew what padding was till I found this place. Kept seeing "stat padding", and wondered wtf it was, but didn't want to seem like a dumbass and ask. But no, to answer the question, I never have padded.

The only thing i padded was teamkills. I always seemd to get teamkilled for planes. Hmmm not much changed. But i do miss the 1000 ticket games

I too admit to stat padding...
I first encountered stat padding servers when i finally got enough buddies together to do the knife - revive trick. They actually kicked us off the server because we weren't stat padding with them.
It was on Karkand they would get in a big pile near the center of the city and I don't know what they were doing but it was very obvious because all the other dots were in 1 spot and killing was happening constantly.
I have only stat padded though to get the IAR reqs for some stupid badge or ribbon or whatever. The globals I do all myself.
Although I do feel sometimes that when playing armor it's almost too easy and that may be padding.
So I have recently switched to defending flags, with claymores that too is pretty close to padding.
No matter what kit I use or what vehicle I'm in I feel like a padder.
Ex. You make the call is this considered padding???
As a commander I sit in the uncap in a Jeep or Truck that I dropped and command. Reason being I need 25/75 hours in transport for my Vet/Expert transport badge. I can get 20min - 1:20 knocked off of my transport badge if I do this and I can also defend the base with the Machine gun on the truck...

I tried to get vet resuply with a friend yesterday although he was actually shooting at people as a sniper. I also killed two today with a veichle drop!
Does it count as padding if you go commander, sit in a TOW or stinger and use artillery to get the kills for ground and air defence badges?

Yes i have previously ( reviver) mate wanted his basic explosives so 13 times, that's all....
i have never stat padded....at first i didnt know what it was i knew about the points and all that when i started but i never even thought about the knife/revive thing.... if u call sitting in one of the alleys with a pkm owning all the sorry bastards that end up coming threw it between the hotel and usmc spawn.... thats all the stat padding i have done..... or being a medic point whore on karkand or sharqi

Ok, in that case I've been stat-padding most of my BF2 career. Shit, that's so stupid, I liked it because it's like Counter-Strike but with more weapons and options.

lol stat padded or vet resupply, i got my e pezrt on karkand with 200 tickets to go, not hard mate
When I started to play officially on the ranked servers and being an early member on the forums, I learned statpadding was a horrible thing and was the first thing for me to avoid. It was tempting but I was able to avoid such an encounter.
