BF2S Forums stats padding as a noob

I got my basic and veteren knife on a K&P only server, I'm ashamed to admit... I didn't know at the time that they were illegal though. Once I figured it out I never went back.

HOWEVER! My expert knife was pre-patch 1.3 and totally legit, 18 knife kills in one round. I'm getting good at the sneaky kill with pistol too (headshots for the win), once I've got my 500 global I'll go for the badge.

I thought about doing it. When i first started i looked at the medal requirements and thought OMG thats impossible, so one of my friends was meant to make a 'dummy' account so we could get our knife/pistol/explosive badges etc. But we never got round to actual playing together where we could do it and after a while i sort of went screw waiting for my friend to get on, ill try get the awards myself (because i was closing in on First Sergeant and needed all my basics). I got them all legit and it felt so good knowing i could actually do it. Then later read the ROE and saw people getting stats reset for padding and felt that much better.

I don't care if other pad (well i do sort of) but its knowing I got all my medals legit makes them all the more sweet.

Yep.  It took me forever to figure out who was shooting at me....it took even longer to realize what was needed for awards.

i hear you. i spent more time the first week googling for an awards guide (which led me to UBAR and then to here and the stats)  than i actually did playing

oh...i did stat padding once as a noob...i didnt know it was bad....or that i could get a badge....me and my brother kept on having knife FIGHTS....it was fun.....i slit his throwt and accilies heel

I went into a kp ranked server once because it sounded fun, but I didn't know it was against ROE.  People were using normal weapons anyway.  It was boring, so I left after only a few minutes.  I earned my basic knife badge legit and it was so much fun.  It feels good to knife the gayass bunnyhoppers as they try to hit you with their auto assault rifle.  Now that's real pwnage!

I haven't gotten my basic pistol yet, but I plan on getting that legit too.  It's all I need to advance to First Seargent!

Yeah same here..except I padded about 300 points..xD

I must admit: yes, I did statpad when I was new to the game.
Because after 5 or 6 games getting tank-whored, I was sick of all the vehicles and went to a Infantry only server and then to a K&P-server - not knowing it was not allowed.
I regret it and now feel better after this confession

Firstly every1 stat pads some way. For instance have a  look at any1 with a decent score, how do they get that score- STAT PADDING, 
                                     running around as a medic waiting 4 ppl to be killed= stat padding
                                     only flying planes or helis then doing laps               = stat padding
                                     driving the tanks to the spawn pts at karkand         = stat padding
                                     the constant nade throwing at karkand                   = stat padding
                                     only playing the 1 map all the time                         = stat padding
                                     and then only play the 1 side                                  = stat padding
                                     logging off server cos ur not coming 1st                  = stat padding

FFS when you go out to buy that 7800 gtex card with dual processing cpu and 2gig of ram and liquid cooling so you are faster than every1 else you could argue that it is stat padding and we all do it because it is fun and it gets you pts.
Let the padding go it is like life. Just dont cry when it happens get even.
Remember these ppl who pad all the time are only interested in one thing pts and how long it takes to get them. So simply have another account name to use and tk them till they change server or be smarter and realise that if player   sgtspawncamper is driving down in a tank to the hotel at karkand every map some land mines will soon halt his progress. stop the bs
