When I decide to purchase SF or EF or AF.... do you get a new cd key with them?

and what features in SF can you use in bf2, like the only thing I've seen if flashbangs...

Special Forces beats the shit out of AF/EF times 100.

New guns, new armies, new INTERESTING maps, less vehicle whoring, more teamplay, less crybabies, more awards to get

or

an obvious MONEY-GRABBING scheme with boring and overly large maps, mediocre gameplay and terrible lazy presentation (contentwise).

You do with SF... but that's to play sf only.

Personally, I thought SF was cool and all, but the fact remains that I bought it on release day and still only have played it for about 5 hours.  What it does bring to the table is some unlocks which are not always available in SF but are always available in the reg. BF2 games.

Edit:  EF was interesting for a minute, AF was better in my opinion, but even that is getting old.  I still spend by far the most time on stock bf2 maps.

You should play more SF. 5 hours is not enough to experience it all.

Get SF first before the boosters... SF is worth for a person coming with only Vanilla. Get boosters after you get SF.

Eh......just started to re-install SF and saw it was reverting my patch to 1.1

No way in hell I'm going to unpatch/re-patch this buggy mess of code.  The game is barely playable is it is these days.

To hell with SF.  I can live without it.

You have to use the EA Downloader program.  You can get it from the ea bf2 site.

I just dunno why didnt they made SF like a booster ?
I mean u dont need to restart the game to play SF...you just search some servers for it.Or if u can use SF guns in bf2 why cant you use zipline or hook ?
I mean u buy sf so you get more stuff so you ahve some advantages...and only the ppl can choose hook, zipline who own SF.....that whould make ppl buy SF and we all know EA likes profit and money !
Anyway SF was made pretty good....u see if they spend more time with the developement you get a better thing.

i would go with SF, EF is awesome the first 2-3 times you try the map, after that it's boring... AF i haven't played much, but it is cool, also getting boring i guess... the ordinary BF2 is the one iv'e played most, just recently started on SF, and trust me SF is ALOT better, you get zip lines, grappling hooks, tear gas, flashbangs, nightvision, gasmask, new vehicles....

It really depends on your style of play. If you like running around a lot and ground pounding then AF is probably not for you. EF just seems to be a bit... meh, but then I probably haven't played it enough.

SF brings a new aspect to the game, new tools and night maps. Personally I can't get to grips with the night maps but again I probably haven't played enough to grasp them.

I'd say get SF cos it offers the most variety from BF2. But, if you're a bit of an armour whore like me, I can highly recommend AF with, IMHO, very well thoguht out maps for armour, not necessarily for troops.

Special Forces:  More expensive, but big.  8(?) maps, with loads of extra features like grappling hooks, night vision, cool armies like SAS and Spetznas, new vehicles like ATVs, jet-skis and more.  The night maps are a very different style of play, take some getting used to but really mix the game up a lot.  The other SF maps include some real gems, like Warlord (which is THE king of close-quarters-combat, Karkand is a little girly map in comparison) and Ghost Town.  SF puts an emphasis on infantry combat, and the importance of infantry squads working TOGETHER to make a difference.

Euro-Forces:  A very mixed bag.  Great Wall is a good map, with an interesting mix of lots of vehicles and some very close combat for infantry.  The only EF map that suits ground-pounders, but it is very good for them.  Operation Smokescreen is also quite good, allows for large-scale pitched battles between lots of tanks, with air support.  Tabara Quarry is the weakest of the bunch, as the layout of the map means that it's far too easily dominated by good pilots.  Overall, EF is... okay.  Nothing special.  Get it if the $10 means little to you and you want a bit of variety.  The European equipment is quite cool (they have great medic and engineer weapons), but the voices are awful...

Armoured Fury:  I really liked this pack.  Obviously very focussed on vehicle combat, but unlike EF's vehicle-heavy maps there are less problems from aircraft, because there is a LOT more AA available, and the jets are slower.  Each of the maps has its own flavour and style, and they're all pretty unique.  The new jets and scout helo's are great fun, although you have to use them more intelligently than the vanilla jets or the aforementioned AA is going to ruin your day.  Overall, the AF maps are good quality, well balanced, and offer new styles of play.

So...  if I were you, I'd start with SF.  It's great.  After a while, pick up AF.  If, after that, you still have a want for yet more variety, get EF, but bear in mind it's definitely the weakest of the lot.  Hope that helps!

I bought SF some weeks ago and must say it fucking rocks.
More teamplay, less vehicle whoring, intresting new features (grappling hook 4tw!), challenging night maps (about 10 times more exciting than Karkand) and new weapons (how I LOVE the RPG-7).
If you like Karkand and you're not a pointwhore, you'll like maps like Ghost Town or Warlord. But beware - SF requires skill.
