If we're being pedantic, distance isn't the issue, traffic is. I used to play on some american servers before bf2 and I used to get the best pings with one server located in Hawaii. Better than west coast, florida, everything. The reason behind it was that the routing avoided most of the hubs that created lag.Ikarti wrote:

I play in a few US server's and my ping is around '130' there is a tiny delay... but nothing to stop me playing in a US server ... as I know alot of good US players out there I enjoy playing with .. also they come to the Euro servers and play ... and enjoy it ...

Dunno about others,but at least i choose server by ping. not by its location. if ping is less than 150 and server has good amount of players i sure join. Dont care if it is in europe, america, asia..who cares. I rarely even check where that server is located
