Easy way to completely stop 1-man heli-whores

All of us (the ones with a soul that is :p ) get pissed off at people who hog the attack choppers just so they can use the tv missles alone. EA tried fixing this by making the choppers quickly lose control when pilotless, but it's still possible. There is a way to completely this imo while still allowing gunners to survive if their pilots get killed/lagged out/etc.

Simply make the tv missles unable to fire without someone in the pilot seat.

This would work the same way as not being able to shoot while jumping, EA could add it into the next patch. Thoughts?

I like solo-piloting, I've only had 2 good gunners ever, 1 was me, another was some pubber whom I lost contact with.

I agree canuck, there are some really awful gunners out there, I've even had a master sergeant punish me on our third run after we got shot down by a tank and I somehow got a teamkill, but still, the switching to the gunner's seat is pretty lame...

aye. i rock at solo TVing, taking down planes, helis, and (my personal favorite) infantry with the TV missle. i like solo missing because it gives me a chance to pick my own targets. nothing funnier then nailing people on the carrier in the face with the TV missle.

Just get on voip with your gunner, it makes things much easier, call targets for him tell him what your doing, and he will spot for you too. Trigger, I'm sure your much more effective with your respective clan pilot on voip/TS then you are alone.

I own a fucking Ventrilo server. I play with some friends from school, and we communicate with Ventrilo, but that doesn't change the fact that he can't CLICK PROPERLY ON HIS SCREEN.

The problem I have with it is people who will do the edge-of-map kill on people regardless and don't even give them the chance to prove if they're good. If they're a complete idiot, yeah go ahead and kill them, but just give people a chance and play the game the way it was meant to be played.

Yeah i know a bunch of you are going to justify it by saying you need lots of skill, yeah right. Tons of people do it because it's easy not because it's hard to do.

It allows you to do good in a chopper without any real flying skill, that is the main problem...

Yeah, it's stupid. The whole point of attack choppers is that they are a two-man team effort. Also I still find it hard to believe that a soloer (even some l33t general asshole) is better by himself than with a decent gunner. What are you doing while you're in tv mode? You're spinning around in the air, you can't dodge or use flares.
