I think EA should give every account a chance to change their name to something else, now that the prefix option has been added. I added in my tags when i created my name, unaware a prefix option would come later. Now I want to remove my tag... but the only way to do that is to restart, and lose all 6 unlocks. The prefix option just gets dusty now and I don't use it because my tag is built in, and i'm sure lots of other clans don't like it too.

So, I think that EA should give each account one account name change, only one to avoid abuse. Those who wanna change change it to whatever, and so I can reduce my tag and name to just my name, and use the prefix option for the tag.

No, they should give us the ability to change our name however often we damn feel like it. There are ZERO good reasons for locking people to a single registered name. It's just bullshit.

I saw a post on another forum stating that you could change your name on the front end through a Gamespy account, and that the changes would show up in your BF2 account.  I tried it, but couldn't get my Gamespy account to update. 

From United Soldier's Forums:

"If you need to change your name for Battlefield 2, either your whole name or add the clan tag to your name and you don't want to loose your stats, you can loginto Gamespy Arcade and select edit profile. There you can change your nicknameand email address to whatever you want. Since BF2 uses the Gamespy Engine itwill reflect your name change in the game."


Post if this works or not, as I know many guys who are interested....

No. That's a really old post I believe that worked for one or two of their players and then stopped working.
