New hack?!

Hi folks!

First of all I want to state that I'm fully aware of the red-tag-bug.

I just played karkand today and experienced something completely strange which I've never seen before. I was playing as USMC and there was this guy on my team ( I KNOW he was on my team as he wore the same US uniform and spawned at US bases. The thing is that he suddenly started teamkilling people and my first reaction was like he's a complete n00b and I wanted to check how low his score was. Then I noticed his score raising all the time while the infotext stated he was teamkilling. After a while I AT'ed the hummer he was in and I actually got -points for teamkilling!
BTW his nick was SC430 and by looking at his stats I can say he has quite alot TKs for playing mostly as infantery.

I wonder then if there's some kind of hack or glitch which makes TKs count as normal kills, because this surely was no ordinary red tag bug as everybody else on my team got TK by this guy while he was stacking up points.

I don't know. Maybe a glitch, maybe a hack. I certainly hope it isn't a hack, because that would lead to rampant asshattery...

I certainly not mean to scream out OMGWTFHAX every onw and then, but this was really strange and annoying at the time..

AND btw the server was ranked with FF on

theres a rare big where if an admin teamswitches sum1, sumtimes (very rarely) they will stay alive when switched, and keep the apearance and weapons of ther previous army.

in your case, a US guy was switched to chinese and the bug took place.

its a rare bug, but pretty cool for the person that it happens to.

It's not a hack, it's a new bug released with the new patch (I think.) I've begun to call it the "Blue Tag Bug." It's just like the red tag bug except there's a blue tag on your enemies (I forgot what the skin changes to.) At least thats what this case sounds like--it's happened to me several times the first week or two when 1.3 was released. Luckily, FF happened to be off (Wake). Next time something like that happens, just reconnect and it should be normal.

I wonder if its part of this bug, would it still work if he died or would he show up at the correct spawn point wearing the correct uniform

no, I got teamswitched on your server, spawned at the enemy base and got killed xD

This guy spawned on my team's spawnpoint and also appeared on my side of the scorelist after the match so I'm sure he actually was on my team. Only US could have spawned on US spawnpoints, right?! But this guy really knew how to make the best out of the situation because he teamkilled everyone around him, nearest enemy would be 100 metres away. And when they respawned he killed them again.

It's the red tag bug. He was not teamkilling, it just said that in the kill ticker. I see it all the time and it's not new to 1.3

Then explain how he spawned at our spawnpoint, and appeared on the scorelist both during the match and afterwards..

And how i got TK when I killed him

Yeah, I'm sure I was USMC, as my score raised, and I wore a USMC suit!

I saw that in 1.12 and it hasen't been done yet??!!!

A guy did that to me on Wake. Crazy part is that when I saw him I shot him of course, then he punished me even if he was chinese and me USMC. Then he spawned in my face in the US point and started shooting US troops and was actually gaining points but he was in the US score and it says Teamkilled. Not, killing whoever you want and punish whoever kills you... Hack, no doubt about it.

I'm pretty sure it's a glitch..

The other day I was playing Operation Road Rage, as USMC, in an A-10. This guy Milkman something a-rather was in a linebacker as MEC. The funny thing is, he appeared to be on my team, in squad 5. You couldn't join the squad, though. However, on my map I could see an Anti-aircraft vehicle symbol with a 5 behind it. Yep, I could see exactly where this enemy was the whole round.

But then he switched and pwned with me in a heli.
