"Commander post Vacated" msg needed...

we need an audible "commander has stepped down" idea for inclusion in next patch.

many times commanders vacate their role midmatch, and teams/squads are not informed.
annoying to hear "this is currently unavailable as there is no commander on your team"

Agreed. I will often as a squad leader think... hey... why aren't I getting UAV or spots anywhere? I will then check and see that there is no more commander.

I'm seeing less and less commanders ,i hate the position because i bought bf2 as a FPS but surely more people than a few play commander.

Agreed. They should of thought of that when they inserted the "Commander reporting for Duty" message!

I see a lot of commanders, but unfortunately they always seem to be on the other team ....

I would rather not play commander, but if I plan to be with a team for a while then I'll take a turn at it because I know how valuable it is for the success of the team.

i like commanding i just don't like doing it every round. I have played on some teams where no one wants to do it and i end up doing it 5 or 6 rounds in a row before i quit the server.

i really dont mind being commander as long as im not losing 3-4 rounds in a row..... if i think my team can win then i will be commander but if i think my team is a bunch of morons then i will only be commander when i know that nobody else is going to be commander

Every once and a while, I find a good server to be commander. Some nights I also find I play better as commander than I do on the ground. Tonight I had some great rounds as commander.

If I see someone trying to mutiny me out of commander, often I will resign and allow them or someone to take over. Often it is just some kid who is not getting every request he askes for... he doesn't realize there are 10-30 other players on the team?

I command every once in a while, it's quite boring at the 64 player level if the server's not full. At the 16 and 32 level, you can be a fighting commander if you're good enough. That's fun right there. Fight alongside your troops, support them with your assets, and kick ass, all at the same time. Multitasking is key.

im sure your team appreciate the effort that u put in to your role as commander... why bother?

I like to command, always liked RTS more then FPS but a quick look at the current RTS market makes me sick(future looks good though).

I do hate commanding when the team seams to simply stick two one or two flags the entire game.

You can eat and play commander at the same time. As long as your paying attention to your team for requests, orders, spotting, supplies, providing them with information they need to win.

It's a lot better than being a flying commander who does nothing but fly.

The thing that annoys me about commanding is when youre halfway through a game and you notice no commander.....so you apply start dropping spotting and commander stuff...then some smurf starts a kick vote ...

Now that pisses me off....If you think Im that bad as a commander why dont you do it....instead of waiting until we need a commander ...then starting a vote as soon as he is in post .....now Ive started resigning with the comment ...ok you do it....they never do..
