i've had teams where they followed every order i gave and we kicked the enemy's butt soundly.
i've had teams that wouldn't do anything and we got our butt kicked soundly.
i've had teams that I didn't have to give orders to because by the time I started to give it they were at the point assulting it or defending it. That's the best deal right there
i've had teams so bad that giving orders constantly resulted in a no sir, so i stopped giving support to any squad leader that asked for something when they wouldn't follow orders.
i hate commanders on 32 and 64 player maps with 24+ people who are constantly in the middle of a battle getting killed and using up the assets for only themselves. Come on guys there are a bunch of other people on your team you could use a little support from you. Less than 24 people on big maps I understand the need to be a fighting commmand and have done so myself.
The only time I start a mutiny vote is when I see a flying commander. And if it succeeds then I will take the post because i have no intention of getting up in the air in any vehicle.
edit
Any squad or even lonewolf I see attacking a position when we are getting our ass kicked as a team is the ones who will get my support as a commander. I help and reward people who try to win the game for our side. I don't help or reward people who constantly hit page down.
When I give an order, I realize that sometimes you or your squad or both is unable to comply with the order immediately. That's fine. Just do what I ordered you to do as soon as you can. I.E. Repairs needed here. that means if you or a squad member dies, respawn as an engineer and repair what I ordered you to.
I know that example is almost impossible on some maps when you don't have that base or you lose that base in the intervening time between issue of the order and when you get there.
