'only part of a readprocessmemory or writeprocessmemory request was completed'

This is the error message i get when i try to install anything, the last thing i did to the computer was update the firmware for the dvd/rw, also i have a new case for my comp which is now operational, it all went wrong either after the case change or the firmware, what do you guy's think.

Possible solution: (Worked for meyster)

He was getting this error with his HPDVD 630i (DVD writer) and HP instructed him to do this....

Go into your device manager->IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right click on secondary and choose properties. Go to the advanced settings tab and choose PIO only for "transfer mode". I would ensure that your drive is connected to the secondary controller first though.

I'm not sure why this works, but HP tech support had him try about 5 things and this one finally worked.

HP told him on several occations that they have compatability issues with Nero software. He said 1 and 100 will work with Nero.

the case change shouldn't make any difference unless you did not properly plug everything together.

To me it sounds like an error with your DVD drive

Try running a registry checker. A free one is Crap Cleaner (ccleaner.com)

Could running a system restore help? Or do you think that i could try one of the restore points(if i have any).
The reg cleaner kindly repaired HALF of the errors which didn't help much, im not paying for the full version!
