Personally, I'm finding the basic badge to be difficult. Yes, I'm a nub wtih a knife, but every soldier playing a city map has a UAV over their head. Sneaky doesnt work when you're a red dot out of place.

I don't know, maybe I just suck at it, but I've had plenty of 6-knife rounds.



Anyway, back the OP.

18 Seems like a lot and my condolensces to those who had gotten it "fairly" pre-patch. It would have proven to be a challenge way down the road.


Pistols, on the other hand, are definatley much easier to get. They're more accurate than any other gun (Save Sniper Rifles), quick drawn time, some are silenced, and quick rate of fire. I have no problem taking out someone with a "real" gun with my handy pistol. I look forward to getting my expert once I get 500 global.

Welcome to "Disneyland Karkand"!

I think the most of expert Knife were made in Karkand. And when u got some rounds of 6 knife kills be sure u got one round with 7. one tip: U got it very easy with defending the Hotel... Get on the top of the ladder building and wait... I sacrificed one round of Karkand to made the expert badge before 1.3. (k/d: 19/28 )

But I think the Knife and Pistol badges are the easy part. When I look at my aviator and helo time

But ur right, the pistol badge is easier! (one shot with the L96A1, scroll up to the Pistol... tadaa!)

Oh noes, some Tit called A Fly -karma's me saying "knife & pistol are fun".

See, this is what I hate about the karma system. If it didn't exist, arseholes like this would either have to keep their opinions to themselves or publicly make a statement that they play on knife & pistol servers. So I just thought I'd bring his confession to you all.

Personally I absolutely suck with a knife and I can't tell you how many times it has been "swipe, swipe <dude turns around> BAM" so anything that they can do to make it easier for knife retards like me I appreciate it.

I had that problem orginally myself.  A friend on teamspeak as a commander can help you with UAV's and spotting.  A friend/teammate distracting the enemy while your behind him is helpful. 

I've wasted many a knife kill by using a gun when I could have used a knife with the above.   Now I'm workikng on my 500 pistol kills in much the same way as I got my knife kills.  Sneak up behind someone and rapid fire the pistol into them when they aren't paying attention.  I usually get a pistol kill or two a day as well as a knife kill.

I don't know how many hours you have played, but the more you play and look situations you will find getting knife and pistol kills easier.

It's just a freaking badge.  It means nothing.  In all likelyhood, you are the only person who ever looks at your badges.  I really don't understand how some people can obsess so much about something so insignificant as a collection of pixels awarded to them by a game database.

The stats and awards have ruined what this game could have been.  For a game that was SUPPOSED to be all about teamplay, it sure has become a game about MEplay.  When I first saw the stats and awards I thought they were pretty cool.  Now when I think about them, I just resent the fact that they pretty much destroyed a perfectly good team based experience.

The old requirements were much better. The "big 3" is now owned by most...

IMHO it was much better when it was actually a challenge to get them. And i enjoyed every second of trying to get xxx knife kills amongst armour ho's...

i dont know ... i thought they gave it to me cause i TRIED SO GDAMM LONG !!! and had gotten it a couple a times (almost) then the requierments changed ... i got me expert ! 9 i thought 23 kills were it so i had had some rounds 19/20 ... 21 kills with knife  so i should have got it earlier i guess

still it was hard...
