If nobody complained, nothing would change and they wouldn't give two shits if every patch came out fucked up like they already are. To ask why we are complaining is a silly question. We paid good money for the game, a game that I personally love. What we dont love is that the patches seems to destroy the gameplay (two-ton vehicles dropping from mid-air???) and cause so many glitches and crashes. On top of that, there are bugs in the game that have been around since day one that they have promised to fix with every patch, yet fail (red/blue bug?). This is why we complain. We are being good consumers. This is the American way of life (not to exclude other countries, please, keep complaining too, EA needs to hear it), you dont like the way a company is handling you, their customer, you let them know that they had better fix things, or they are going to lose a customer, and odds are, a lot of customers..... which, in business means (are you with me?) they go out of business......
Now, do you see why it is stupid to ask a consumer why they are complaining about a defective product that they purchased??? And don't think EA doesn't read these forums, they do. They have to realize that they have already lost a good number of customers due to their bad performance, and many more too if they fail to fix their problems. My clan is already talking about switching games. We were all set to buy BF2142 when it came out, all the expansions and extra packs and whatnot, that would probably be around $100 per person, plus the ranked server cut they would get too from the couple servers we would rent. Hmmm.... that's $100 per person, about 40 of us in my clan that play the game..... /add..... that's $4000 dollars EA is inches away from losing from my little clan if they dont get their shit together. And I know we're not the only ones. That kind of shit adds up, and EA better realize it soon.

You know most of the people complain because they purchased a software and EA (as distributor) forgot to write on the box that it's only 70% ready for the end users.
It's still full of glitches and can be exploited, but still very exciting to play....and the best feedbacks on your product are coming from your customers. It's a shame that most sofware company don't care about the hardcore gamer's opinions on dedicated forums like this one as well.
Happens a lot with other games as well. Of course there are tons of threads here, full of complaining about every aspect of the game, but most of them are loaded with stupid ideas...like the 1.4 NO medic or sniper threads....no comment. These are relly annoying, but complaining about the original-and-still-didn't-fixed bugs are not.

ea dont do the coding and problems for the game, they just promote it...dice are the ones who made the game....you should really think about who you should blame

Most of us knows that DICE are doing the coding but WE ALL bought the game through Electronic Arts.
That means they are RESPONSIBLE. They distributed it. They earned good money on it...they must listen to the customers and forward their complains to DICE. That's the way normal business used to be. At least that's how I do it.

The game is a good one. The gameplay is excellent but the bugs and glitches and crashes do get on people's nerves. It's fair enough that people blame the developers for these problems because technically we pay the developers for a faultless product. Would you not complain to the manufacturer if your car was faulty, (or in keeping wih the theme of computers, kept "crashing.")
It's a fun game, which is why people play it. They're not just going to give up after some hiccups, they will want them fixed so they can continue having fun. Although the constant "Fuck EA/Dice" threads don't help anything, they are more an outlet for anger, and I'd rather people come and flame them here then shoot up their schools or workplaces because they're pissed off at a buggy PC game.
It's a fun game, which is why people play it. They're not just going to give up after some hiccups, they will want them fixed so they can continue having fun. Everyday around 4:00pm here, the servers ALL fuck up...I didn't know what happened the first time so I had SEVENTEEN consecutive crashes...

Well the fact is that I love this game, and in the beginning of this game, for that was august 2005 I could play this game the entire day, and then I mean the entire day without ONE single CTD or Connection Problem, So the game itself is great, but then with the comming of 1.3 and the so many bugs it starts to get annoying at some level you know? And as strykker said he paid 110 dollars, I paid 70 euro's for it, and I intend to get the best out of the game for that price.
My internet router has been giving me 'there is a problem with your connection' since I bought he game in november last. Its a good day when I get to play 3 rounds without disconnecting. A few days ago I was on Bf2 for about 4 hours and amassed a whole of 1 hour game time. Sure theres CTD, server crashes and my shitty router fucking me over, yet I still play becuase it's fucking fun and also because they have actually brainwashed us all. Before this game I didn't give a shit about War and thought it was just stupid. Now I'm on the verge of enlisting. So, they have brainwashed us is my answer. No one would ever play a game for almost 500 hours that contantly pissed them off unless it were so.

I think we've all wasted a sawbuck or ten on horrible games that never should have seen the light of day. You know the type--lackluster graphics, asinine plot, intellectually offensive gameplay, and more bug-ridden than the mattress in a $50 hotel room. With games like that, we crash to the desktop once or twice, and we've had enough: The game is uninstalled at the speed of light (or SATA-II as the case may be), the CDs ejected, stashed away, and smashed to bits/sold to an unsuspecting victim for a buck or two. Games like that bore us for a short time before they utterly piss us off, making us never want to even think of them again.
Battlefield 2, however, is nothing like that. I believe in giving credit where it is due, and EA and DICE have really hit upon something with their Battlefield franchise. In the case of the BF series, the graphics are pretty nice, the plot is actually pretty enthralling (yes, I do read the stuff on the splash screens as the maps load) and above all the gameplay is nothing short of stellar.
In the case of BF2's bugs being intolerable, then, it's not a case of never wanting to play the game again. It's knowing that the game is so damn good--a few glitches and bugs shy of perfection. EA pisses us off not because their products (or at least the BF series) are mediocre, but rather because they have all the parts to the mother-of-all-FPSs all lined up on the table, but fail to string them together correctly.
I keep playing BF2 because, bar none, it offers the best online FPS experience when it works. I will continue to play it despite its bugs because of this. It just rankles me that EA has produced such a superior product yet is dragging its ass on making it all that it can be. I used to joke that BF2142 would hit version 1.4 before BF2 would--now I'm not so sure it's actually only a joke.
In any case, that's my take on it. Sorry for the essay.
