Getting Expert Pistol Badge

Hi

I've notice that they've changed the expert knife to 100 kills but left the pistol badge at 500 kills and 18 kills in one round after that according to my stats it 424 kill left to do will take me 1,856 days which works out to be just over 5 years which is bloody crazy.

Its look like the only way is to stat pad for it and that against the rules, I doubt I will be still playing this game in 5 years time.

Just start using the pistol for those 500 kills. Once you get those and it WONT take 5 years go for the 18 in a round. I still need the kills as well and I doubt Ill get the badge soon.

Dont stats pad 4 it. just do what i did to get it. Flash bang them and spawn raping lol. worked nicely.

pistol...

i use it almost as much as main weapon. make a hotkey to whip out your pistol, and forget about emptying the clip on your main weapon.

fire til empty, swap to pistol, and continue blamming.

and, maybe u are not aware of this, u can use your pistol to snipe. its bizarrely one of the most accurate weapons in the game, which is both funny and bullshit. accuracy is a factor of barrel length, amongst other things, so pistols should be weak at range, but ingame this isnt the case.

make a mental note to start whipping pistol out, esp when u empty, or when u see enemy at range.

I first thought it was a lot too, but I ran around for week with only the pistol out. You have it in no time. I noticed the power of it and now I still use it from time to time, you switch faster to pistol than reloading.

The time you said is estimated (if you play like you have did till now), ofcourse if you start using it now every day, it will decrease very fast.

Oh and there were 100 global knife kills too before 1.3, you just also had to get 18 IAR ;-)

I`ve been quite active with my pistol ever since I startet playing this game, so 500 kills were gone before I even thought about it. The 18 kills in a round just came by it self.

An personal advice: Use sniper kit if you arent that god with pistols in close combat. Shoot them once with the sniper, draw your pistol and put one in em. Easy as nothing.

Seconded. One hit from the M95 leaves anyone on 5% health. bodyshot them, then switch to pistol and fire half a magazine or so in their general direction. You only need to hit them once. Not only will you rack up pistol kills, but it's faster than reloading your rifle.

True... I got my expert pistol that way. Vet is easy, just go attacking with the pistol, but get a sniper rifle (any will do if you're good at aiming), shoot at the feet (if they lie down then you get a HS instead) to take ANY target, even armored, to 2 bars of health, then follow up with pistol and voila... You have a brand spankling new pistol kill ! Repeat an additional 17 times and you have expert.

However, you need to actually USE your pistol once in a while to get the 500 kills. Either forget about the badge entirely, or remember to use the pistol to rack up the kills. Dont bitch and moan because you dont like the pistol and then expect to get the badge for free. It took me the better part of 6 months to rack up the pistol kills, because I didn't use the pistol much. Then a simple "I thin kI'll go make some pistol kills" thought made me get the remainder in a matter of weeks.

When i used to play medic, pistol kills very easy to rack up. 3 G36E Bullets = 1 M95 Bullet (guesstimate) so 1 burst followed by 1-2 pistol bullets.

thats what i do, i love the pistol one of my fave guns the 92FS is my fave, better site IMO.

That's how I got my badges.

Only first take a look if there is an admin and that only pistols and knives are used.
Some ppl use these servers to gain some easy kills I noticed.
And it's very difficult to get them kicked.

no need to stat pad or join a pistol/knives server. just whip out the pistol all the time! I do it and i usually get like 4 or 5 kills a night playing with a pistol. if your in a close battle and your clip goes dry, whip the pistol out. if your sniper and you are moving position, keep that pistol out. if your anti-tank and you need some long range power, use the pistol. things like that, it will add up quickly.

BUSTED huh??? FYI: knife/pistol servers are not very popular in here and also EA/Dice are not pretty happy about them, maybe a reset will come it´s way?! Just so you know!

O really wasn't aware of that.
But actually I think those servers are fun to play.
Fast action and everyone is equally armed. Knife & pistol.
When you r good on such a server says a player has some skills.

But wasn't there going to be an option in 1.4 that makes it possible to disable vehicles.
What is that all about! Looks like EA/Dice is going the direction of pistols/knives anyway.

I found the best wat to rack up the kils was when ever you where sneaking up on someone or they aren't looking in your direction. Whip out your pistol and go nuts. Got mine pretty fast doing that, Maybe 3 or 4 per round. Thats not running around with it out.

Geting the 18 IAR takes ages though. It took me like 4 rounds to get it. And a fwe other people i know it took them about the same number of rounds. Kept geting piked at the last min. 1 more to go or something.

most of my pistol kills r b/c im a sniper. i shoot once w/ my rifle, 2/3 rounds off my pistol and there u go. even in close quarters, i quickly zoom(or not. depends) /w my rifle shoot, bang bang dead.

the pistol badge is incredibly easy to get. just learn how to use your pistol right and you can get 30+ kills in one round on a normal server... the pistol is incredibly good if you know how to use it.

Pretty much all your expert badges can be attained by joining a pistol and knife server, but beware, if there isnt a admin on those servers more than likely you will find yourself playing regular karkand, EA doesnt seem to care about these servers, I have about 20 on my favs list, its easy to pickup 300 points per game
