While i was playing BF2 i was thinking ''dam im gd'' and then i rememberd how i allways watched and learned from other players that had mastered the things they were doin'. Like when I was playing with TeflonSean [he used to be the 6th best in the world] i learned so much more about infantry skills, where to be and not to be, when to use a single bullet - brust - or full auto. He was a great player to squad up with and learn from. Then i ussaly was in a bombing jet as a 2nd seater learning how to fly without dieng in 1 min.

How did u get your skills? Or did u just practice?........

Well practise makes you get skills...
I gained some skills when playing BF1942 offline... Renegade... MOH:AA, etc.
When I got ADSL the first game I bought was BF2, and when I started playing I was an above average player, but not super good.
Through time I gained more skill, by playing all kits, and learning from other good players.

I learnt the hard and stressful way..practice. I'm still learning alot though.

I'm only a gunnery SGT but i'm still pretty damn skilled sometimes*.

um... i just sort of learn how to do things on my own.  I don't know if you'd call me 'skilled' in anything, but i just sort of learn what to do when, where to be, where NOT to be... i just learn it on my own.... but that's just me

a bit off-topic, but i found teflonsean to be a total asshat the only time i played with him. high rank does not give you high priority to vehicles and tking for them shouldnt be your policy.

i think to the new players alot of it is just learning the maps. where to be not to be noticed or rather how to take the flag with minimal loss. for the veteran players time and watching high scoring players seems to work for me. i always look at what kit the top guy used. alot of times you find he was either a medic or in a vehicle ie, tank helo plane apc, anyways just keep giving it all you got and you will continue to get better.

BF2 was the first online game I have ever played, and the first fps that I have played on the computer since doom.  I dont consider my self an elite player I am ok better than most but there are still those players out there that will pawn me.  I just learned that humans are creatures of habbit, this means that most people will attack the same flags in the same way or come at you the same way over and over, once you know how they work you can exploit it.  It also depends on your team and who you play with.  You could be the sickest bf2 hitman on the planet but if your commander has no idea what hes doing and you team mates are all hiding at one base, your going to get owned.  It all comes down to training and playing learn the ropes and keeping at it.

Yea, same for me, I kinda learned by myself.  When I first got BF2, so did a-lot of my buddys, we were all newbs in servers, telling each other the best way to do everything.  Now we split, and I don't see them much, but we are all really good now.

I came into BF2 off of Jedi Academy, which taught me a lot about knowing a map and the various strategies involved in defeating an opponent. Other games like UT2004 and Halo also helped me improve in combat in tense situations. Lastly, I played both BF1942 and BFV on a regular basis, which taught me the most about how the battlefield series differs from any other. After that, BF2 was simply a matter of adapting my various strategies and practicing.

Ive got problems with this now, I cant really get my bombs in the right place, only when i go 400 meters, and go straight down,

but I dont have the time for that..

I just pubbed a lot and that was it.  I got better by discovering the reward system and realizing my stats sucked.  Working on them made me a better player.

the basic FPS skills comes with playing computer games most of my life, developing tactics to handle things, and leanring to aim and take cover effectively via controllers. mouse and keyboard was fairly new to me with bf2, but i soon mastered it. i have always been pretty good at fps'. my mates and i regularly have "halo sessions", one once lasted a whole 24 hours. i spose i get practice off of them aswell. most stuff people learn is from what they see, so they can then take that knowledge and use it effectively for themselves.

I was born with an aimbot/wallhack in my brain, sucks for rifle range shooting i keep shooting the attendants..

Naw, my first FPS was Doom, then Deus Ex, AA, so i got most of my skills from hand on experience, i used to play alot of Age of empires so i suppose that gave me some tactics.
