Anyone tried Solo- Laser guided missiling?

With the amount of people who have mastered TV-missiles I'm suprised nobody's tried Laser-guided missiling by themselves.

I mean how often do you get a gunner in the jet, and also it's pretty damn easy to line up a shot for yourself with the Laser guided missile. It eliminates the need to refuel as often.. Anybody try it?

Wow. I'm about 90% sure I made a thread on this like three or four months ago.

Yes, I have done it a lot. Yes, it is extremely successful. It was a lot easier before the change to AA so that it wouldn't lock onto you with no one in the pilot seat.

It's easily the best way to take out commander assets.

Yeah, lol, pretty good at it too, just have a problem with the ground/mountains/trees/friendly helos

i did when i had them, but never bothered to waste my time flying over the airfeild when i had 12 perfect accuracy tankbuster missles with me.

I'm always willing to let someone else pilot so I can use the laser-guided missles. I love those things! They're unnaturally effective and a guaranteed one-shot kill. It's especially fun when you have several things of armor in front and the pilot is going slow.... You can fire 4 pretty rapidly and own them all and save your team's ass! I'm one of those few willing to take the copliot seat though.... All the more for me!

I'm a lousy pilot and much prefer to use the LGMs (no shit!), if I don't get a pilot (always seems to be on Daqing) I'll fly myself about and do what I can. Nothing beats slamming Mavericks and kedges into shit while being lined up by a quality pilot.

It just doesn't click, and they flip out trying to figure out what happened

Lock-On isn't necessary with the LGM, with a steady flight you can easily guide the missile by hand into the target.
