The quit button?
I press Esc then click Quit.
Alt+F4 works fine. Along with a fist into the monitor.
I quit BF2 with Alt+F4.

that's true... Got my vet sniper today in the middle of a round... I had to eat so I left before it was finished. Annnd, I still have it...

can't ever leave with bang or quit, the amazing 1.3 knows when to quit for me usually when I'm doing awesome, 1.3 is nice enough to relive me of BF2 and take the strain of pressing escape too send me straight to my desktop

Bf2 tells me when to stop playing..... lost connection, crash to desktop... happens a lot!
