I was thinking... all this talk about lowering points between 1st Sgt. and Sgt.Major, what if instead of lowering the points between them they just make SMOTC a reachable rank for all. Like anybody who is a Sgt.Major will reach SMOTC at some time, instead of handing out the rank to only 1 person. This would certainly lower the gap between 1st sgt and Sgt. Major. Just something to think about.
Because the ranking system is the most accurate thing in this game. The fact that there is only 1 Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps is actually constant and should be.
Ok, well if it is one of the most accurate things where are the Warrant officer ranks? Also, correct me if I'am wrong but isnt the top General called the Commandant of the Marine Corps, which happenes to be a 4 star general. Yet multiple people have this rank. I dont know just seemed like a good idea to me. Considering that a lot of people complain about the gap between 1st and Sgt. Major
Now that I'm allmost past the gap with 2,189 points to go it would cheapen it for me if they did that before I got the Sergeant Major rank just like they did with the expert knife badge.

Eh... The gap is nice, considering you can really distinguish good from n00bs. But like... I have been playing this game since the day it came out. I have not once reached Sgt. Major. All 3 attempts at it EA struck me down... But then again I did deserve it. Right now im at around 27,000 and if there is one thing I want out of BF2 it is the rank of Sgt. Major. I know right now I sound like a noob, but all 3 of my erased accounts were within 1,000 points of the rank. So just before I quit BF2 and move on to 2142 I would like to make this goal.

Since Sgt Major is a waste, only being around for 10k, they should lower it to 40k, 20k gap between that and 2nd lieu. Also maybe do something about making Major 10 or 5K closer to captain, As I love that rank and I am only gunna have it for 10k.
