I have been watching some of the videos out there and noticed a couple things that i would like to know how to do.

How do i get rid of all the screen text? Like chat and names and the radar and all that jazz. Some of the movies ive seen are nice and clean, nothing but the action on the screen.

Also, how do you make jeeps and boats fly? lol, i know it sounds like a stupid question, but i have seen it. Theres usually an explosion that propells the vehicle, but how do these explosions not destroy the vehicle? Ever see the movie about the stunts? if you have, you know what im talking about. I just saw the same thing in another video called "Mine". Good stuff, but how is it done?

Are there console commands for BF2? Is there a list of them somewhere?

And last but not least, what is the best way to make a movie with BF2? The whole step by step process.

Currantly i do it this way...
I play on a BF2 recorder server and try to do what i would like seen in the movie, or get my buddies to help out if i can.

Than i go and download the file and view it. I have Fraps open (registered version) and my finger on the record key. When i see something i like, i record it at 60fps. When im all done i use Adobe Premiere pro to edit all the clips and add any effects i might want. I try to keep effects to minimal, nothing too elaborate. I also add my music when in premiere pro and try my best to sync the action. When i have my finished movie in premiere for some reason when i convert it to AVI through premiere it produces a rather crappy movie.

So, instead i convert the whole movie to Targa files than use virtuadub to put em all back together and convert it all to AVI, than it comes out good, but still not great.

Im also using DivX4 as my codec. Should i be using something else? If so, what?

I would appreciate it if someone who knew the answers to these questions will reply and help me out. I have a ton of demo's ive downloaded and im sure theres a pretty good movie among them, i just want it to be a crisp clean one this time but need some help getting there.

Thanx for reading

You have to play on a server that has battle recorder enabled. Select it in your filters. A bad side to this though is that sometimes you encounter a "did not connect to server" or something like that and you wont get the file. Its rare, but it happens.

After the round is over, click the community tab up where you would check your stats and stuff, and you will see the files, click one and download it, if it finds the server you will see a progree bar, if not, you will get that error i told you about.

first of all heres a good list of all console commands you will need to get rid of text and maybe something else of interest: http://bf2tracker.com/thread.php?threadid=46
to get rid of the name tags i only found 1 way so far and that is using the ingame renderer. you can record your camera movements and then render it through the game with a codec of your choice: http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.ph … mp;start=0
if i do stunt movies alone i open a local server and just use the demorecorder function. whats not in the guides i gave you is the fact that the demos you record in a local server are in a different spot than the normal battlerecorder files and you have to move them after recording to the right direstory. they are in EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos and just move them to \My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos then you will see them in the community section of the game and can watch them from there.
