I have a serious problem! At first bf2 worked normal, but a couple of days ago I got a : "Your connection to the server has been lost" right after the second round started. So you see the list with the names and scores, then you press join game/press esc and you can select your spawn point, but you cant press enter. "There are problems with your connection..." Then I get the bf2 menu with "Your connection with the server has been lost" from then on it kept getting worse. So it only happens at the start of round, mainly after joining a server for the first time and when the second round on the same map starts. ATM I cant even join a server because after loading it sais Your connection to the server has been lost. And after that message I cant get into the server for a while.

Can anybody help me?? Because this SUX! When I finally have vacation, i get this! :-(

well for starters have u already rebooted your modem and router(modem first, wait for sync then router)?
have u rebooted your pc(not hibernation or standby)?
If so can u ping the server your are trying to reach? have u run a trace?
did u check to make sure punkbuster is updated(do a manual update)?
Are u sure ur firewall is setup correctly?

I had the same problem. Download the FULL 1.3 patch, reinstall BF2 install every
thing and then the patch

@IBKCKNURASS I allready reset my modem router (its both ) did restart my pc, tried different servers, updated punkbuster correctly and my firewall is ok too

I had this problem numerous times. I think it's a problem with my router because I already re-installed the game after 1.3. And I don't understand why 90% of the time it's when I am a (please add curses) commander on the winning team.

Try updating punkbuster with this program http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

Your firewall may be the problem too. Try disabling your firewall to see if it is.

@ImposedThreat - I updated it with that program, real handy btw :-) I think its the firewall in the new router...

Damn!! I still cant play!! It aint the server, because clanmates can play at servers from wich I get disconnected. It really annoys me, because the problem still isnt fixed! I still get "Your connection to the server has been lost" a lot. I will explain what happens in detail : I join a server, when loading is finished I wait 20 secs, and then I press Esc and I cant select a spawnpoint or anything, because the next thing that happens is that I get the menu and my least favorite message : Your connection to the server has been lost.

My it is my Router/Wireless network. It cant be that the signal from the wireless network is too weak, because it works excellent. Could it be that I get blokked by my router? And thats why I get disconnected? Please help me!

set your PC to the DMZ within the router temporarily. that will set your computer to bypass the firewall and security options with in the router. if it works the reprogram your firewall like mentioned above.

I dont know if that works, because like I set before, I allready reset my router... (sorry bout my poor English, think I meant "I think it is my Router/Wireless network".) I have a brand new KPN Xperia Box (its from Siemens, but dont know the exact name atm. I think it is a GigasetSE551, but Im not sure, should ask that to my dad. Does anybody else has problems with it?

I strongly suggest using a lan cable instead of wireless. Wireless isn't all that reliable. But the servers have also crashed ALOT after 1.3. Very annoying since the round usually gets to the end if you're on the loosing team, if you leads it crashes. Damn curse.

One more tip, don't run skype and such thing while you're playing. Shut down everything you don't need while playing...

I know, I personnally hate wireless But my dad doesnt game, so he thinks its handy :-( And I use EndItAll to shut down as much as I can. When I game I only have Xfire Ventrilo and hardware support programs on... I noticed I dont have trouble getting on certain servers, sometimes I can try to get on a server for like 20 times, but it just doesnt work, while I can get on another server... Very weird :-(
