I've been using this weapon this week and am enjoying it -- but what do you more experienced players feel are the best support unlocks?
PKM was good but now I definitely would go for the MG36 miles more accurate at range especially in 3 shit burst.

Considering they completely destroyed support unlocks in 1.22 and made them even less accuracte then BEFORE 1.2 I just use the regular guns.
RPK for MEC, MG36 for the other teams..
U guys even know how the MEC support weapon is? Its brilliant man!
The MG36 is just simply...outstanding. Get to know it and you will love this gun. Leave it no full auto and just keep clicking out the burts of one and two-shots and you can't go wrong. Same place every time. And think - it is very hard to run out of ammo just as you need to kill someone - unlike assault rifles!

Don't play support all that often.
Gotta say PKM is my most used. MG36 is alright, but when I face others close up, it seems like they always manage to put a few more into me than I can into them. PKM stops the problem.

I dunno I tried the MG36 and just didn't like it as much as the pkm. I think that the pkm is more powerful? I dunno. PKM does nasty damage in short range. ...but that's just my personal preference.
any tactics on maximizing your ammo points? I seem to forget that is my job, and don't sprinkle those packs around nearly enough.
RPK is much better than the PKM. First it got more ammo and the accuracy is great. My best streak yet was 22 kills without dying and only 2 reloads and without dying. Love that weapon.
Used it for 100 hours, absolutely loved it, then realised that the SAW was better in close range. What's so good about it is that it retains its accuracy for quite a few bullets, meaning that you can have like 8-10 shots that will actually hit a body from a reasonable distance before the recoil gets too bad

MG36 is cool because it doesn't overheat very fast. PKM is fun for killing helicopters, you just have to aim right at the rotor shaft to deal any worthwhile damage.

At Mash for example, when US has the Mosque and MEC has the hotel and its a giant sniper war... throw ammo packs at everyone and around those edges. Easy Points.

Make Good friends with the Anti-tank guys, because every time they fire a SRAW, you get a point. I got about 36 ammo points one round, from just running around and throwing them at people.

I'm no expert at support but I generally prefer the stock LMGs.
