I know there has been topics on it in the past but i feel thats it stupid. I had a friend go on one yesterday to get his veteran pistol badge which in his words he said he deserved because he was one away from it on a normal server. Now i argued with him but he just thought he was right and then said 'everyone is taking advantage of these servers so i will' I just think that is completly wrong.

i used one to get my expert knife (when you needed the 18 kills in a round)

but i dont see whats so hard about getting the pistol on a normal server on karkand.

I personally think that excuses are for lazy people. If he tries hard enough, he can get it. He probally does not want to devote the time to practice with a pistol, and just choose to take the easy route.

I would also tell him that the people who are "taking advantage" of those server are getting their stats reset.

Lol, I get 20+ kills with the 92FS on Devil's Perch, Leviathan and Night Flight, it is waay easier on those maps. I don't need a Pistol only server.

True.

If he had actually tried hard and used the pistols alot he might even have gotten better with it.

Are you kidding me? those pistol badges are easy as hell to get:

Basic: Dude, just run in and shoot people. You're bound to get enough kills in the end that way
Veteran: Snipe, and finish all your targets off with a shot from your pistols. Voila, easy as pie
Expert: warlord Palace + Assault + Flashbangs. 'nuff said

Lol, the second guy "good job trying to talk him out of it" or whatever sounds like he's committing suicide. And for SargeV1.4, well anyone actually, the whole sniping and then finishing off doesn't really work if you're a good sniper... just to point that out.

It doesn't matter to me if someone utilizes a k/p server to get meaningless badges. It appears EA is cracking down on those servers so the people who regularly play in them will get what they deserve. I think people are too wrapped up in other peoples stats. They should just play how they play and have their own fun. Who cares what some other person does? You didn't buy the game for them did you? And no, I don't play on those servers. My BR scores proves that.

No need to go to one of those. Playing with a pistol on Karkand for example isn't too difficult. In fact, I like using it now. Bad at it, but it's fun.

I understand that some people chose the easy way but for me i took the ruff road...been skeaking so much on people to get my expert knife...and ive been playing normal game with only my pistol to get it....poor kd...

Wow. I can easily get seven pistol kills on any city map, such as Karkand, Mashtuur, Sharqi. It's harder in other maps because you don't encounter the enemy as much as you do on a city map. I got expert pistol the hard way, and vet pistol is LESS than half of the req for expert, so I don't know why your friend is complaining over it.

I played on my first knife and pistol server last night and it was tons of fun. I didn't play for the purpose of getting badges (although I did get some veteran badges just from playing) so I agree you shouldn't play just to get your awards but rather for the fun of it. It was just fun playing without explosives, armor, etc. It's cool with everyone using the same weapons seeing who's better at the pistol and who's better at the knife.

I don't plan on playing on that server very much but it's a good diversion once in a while from the "authorized" style of play. Anyway, I've thought about the consequences of getting my stats reset and that would stink. But since I play for fun, who cares?

unless you aim for abody shot and then let rip with the pistol, a decent sniper can manage that i'm sure, i do it alot, if i miss the headshot, i whip out my pistol and finish the job.

im sick of people talking about how you will get reset for playing on k/p servers. thats a bunch of bs, me and my buddy play on them alot. nobody gets reset for that.

Since i got reset I have been playing tons K&P servers because they are FUN. Most people that play in these servers coulsnt give 2 shits about some dumb badge. If you go into a K&P server to get your knife or pistol badge then you suck at this game.

Now come on people begin handing out your -1's i could care less what you think.

EA wont say, but i never played K&P on that acocunt so...

Also on my old account i had both exp knife and pistol from before the patch while playing on regular servers.
