Yee...I turned an xbox controller into a PC gamepad.

Yes, it works...all buttons are fully functional, and it even has rumble support. I tried flying the choppers and jets with it, buuuut, it's really really hard. I'll stick with my joystick.

But hey, it beats spending 50$ to figure out I suck with them.

You know you can get an adapter for like AU$20. Anyway console controllers are for noobs. Pro gamers use keyboard and mouse. True FPS style

u took an xbox controller, cut cable to pieces, taped it to a usb plug so now it works with pc and not xbox, but u wont use it for your pc.

your net position is one less controller.

I suck with console controllers too. Like I said, I mainly was just trying this out..I was bored and yeah. Give me a mouse and keyboard for Xbox 360 and I'll be grand.

I said rumble support. As in, the drivers support the rumbleing. I dunno how it would work ingame..I only screwed around with it for a half hour or so.

No, it was extremely easy lol. It's about as easy as...cutting wires and soldering them to another wire.

I don't think a PS/2 Controller will work as well. But there are some PS/2 style gamepads for PC.

why does it work :

The xbox console is a PIII 733 mhz with a Geforce 4 special edition, a mix of gf4 and gf5.

so its a pc packed into a little black box and I looked at the controller's plug and its already a usb controller, all you must do is to make it fit into a pc usb plug

You can't use the exsisting connector with a PC USB slot. For one, the XBOX wire has a fifth wire, which isn't needed. Secondly, it just won't fit lol.

I'll keep my xbox controller for my xbox thank u very much. I sure as hell wouldn't cut the cable just to see what its like to play using a control pad on the PC.
