Medal of Valor & Meritorious Service Medal -- Awarded In Game?

I was just wondering if these medals are awarded in game to the player, as in the whole drum roll deal with the medal popping out of the mini-map.

A few weeks ago, I originally read that they just appear in one's stats as does the Army service medals and ribbons, however I just saw on a forum someone posting a screenshot showing him being awarded the Meritorious Service medal in game. HOWEVER it was his second time recieving the medal . . . if that matters any.

Soo, does anyone know for a fact if these two are awarded in-game?

They just appear in stats.

Hmmm . . . That's what I thought, the thing is, I don't THINK the pic is PS'd

they do show up in game. I think i could have taken about 10k worth of sceenies of it.... hell ill post one up after work.

Kontrol,

I looked at your stats and noticed you, as well would have been awarded them at least twice as well.

Do they show up during the first time you acquire it? Or only the following times?

They do not show up the first time you are awarded. If you have enough requirements to get it for a second time, then they will show up in game everytime you join a server.

yeah first time showed in game.

haven't got the valor yet but the service medal didn't show up in the round, only in my stats..
