Well, I had a great batch of games tonight, with a lot of squad leader time, as well as medic, AT, and spec-ops time.
Anyways, I'm having a blast with the spec-ops on Warlord, and my team is up against what appears to be some sort of officers club on the other side. I look at all the enlisted people on my side, and begin to think, "great, here comes a whooping!"
I couldn't have been farther from the truth.
So, I decide that the enemies' commander doesn't get to have his toys, and I proceed to obliterate the sat. dish and UAV trailer, steal their APC, and take back flags. During my routes, I proceed to pick up any ammo bags I can find on the ground, and return to the enemies' base, to repeatedly destroy these two pieces of equipment. All the while, I'm noticing that certain flags are being taken rather easily by the opposition. So, I start to think, "hmm, they have a decent squad working together on their team."
Well, I've got a few teammates that are claymoring the TV station, and yet the CP keeps being taken back and forth between both teams. So, I hang up the APC shoes, hand it to another teammate, and I run up to the flag in time to see this flag capturing squad setting off claymores, while the medic sits back to revive. I gun down the medic, and proceed to kill off two other enemies before they get me in return. Luckily, my teammates kills the last guy, and revive me.
Now I'm thinking, "hey, these guys are gonna be back, triggering these claymores again, and I want to ruin their fun." I then follow up with C4'ing all the walls, and the floor of the balcony, and I run up one flight of steps to await their return.
Sure enough, they return, trigger my teammates' claymores, they revive their dead, and run into the room to take the flag. With an evil grin, I pull out the trigger switch, let them sit there comfortably for a moment, and then I push the button.
BOOM! Four dead squad members, and four flag defense points!
Then to sweeten the deal, this group's reviving medic whore pipes out with this response:
"C4ing the flag = lame."
My response:
"Whining = lame."
He never said anything after that.
I know, I know... I take some perverse pleasure in bursting people's bubbles, but I proceeded to have fun thereafter. OH! And to top it off, the whole group consisted of some hefty officers: a two-star general, a colonel, a captain, and I can't quite remember the last one. There was a fifth person who managed to survive the blast, but I don't know who it was (I'm not even sure if he was in the squad :shrug: ).
Afterwards, I continued to play several more excellent, competitive, and yet, very close games.
I LOVE HAVING NIGHTS OF GOOD BF2 GAMING!
So, how was everyone else's night?
