Winter-Map?

Hi there,

just out of interest: When I was browsing the games menues I found the game-trailer movie that comes with the game. In this trailer you see some shots from a winter map.
Does anyone know why this one didnt make it in the final version (or was it never intended for the PC version)?

I personaly would appreciate a snow-covered maps, since it would increase vaiety of the game (I can remember that I really liked some of the winter-maps in COD od ET)
Anyone heard of new maps being released?

I beleive that map is intended for the console version of the game Battlefield 2: Modern Combat...not the PC version

I think weather is sorely missing from Battelfield 2. Night time maps are coming in the add-on but i would love to see dusk, dawn, raining maps as well.

take a look at the map under your options main screen... what is that? at first it looks like mashtuur but then it doesn't look like BF2... but then it does again... lol

while I agree that different weather conditions would be awesome, I also acknowledge that this would be difficult to do from a graphics standpoint.

I think with the expansion pack there is winter maps cause theres like the sas and shit so.....and btw modern combat blows.Worst game ive played in a long time.

Weather would be cool... Imagine a storm where there's a chance of getting struck by lightning if you're on top of a building. Of course, with the way the game credits kills now, you'd probably see something like this:

I shoot someone in the chopper on top of the US base on Sharqi right before lightning strikes them dead.

Also guys, on the menu screen. Go to options, then in there there is a screenshot showing what your graphics will look like, such as your crosshair colour compared to the map. What map is that? It looks like a city based map in china

I don't think it actually resembles a real map. It's probably just some image to test your crosshair.

It looks like Mashtuur's "Mosque" control point for me..
The minimap on the upper right corner is too from Mashtuur, but the icons are just copy & pasted onto it (AA vehicle and Chinese flag, not in Mashtuur)

Anyway, a simple detail that should NOT draw your attention.
