I play one game as commander, get 71 points, then when i check out my stats, my global score has gone up by 71 points but my commander score only went up 70 points. I have the screen captures of my stats so I know it wasn't just a screw up on my part. I never threw down any healing, any explosives, repairs.....nuthin'.

I just commanded from a hiding spot and that's all I did. You think it was just a glitch? Or is there some reasonable explanation about what might have happened. No biggie of course, but it made me curious. I've noticed various times when stats don't get updated points-wise, like they should.

one idea - commander points are calculated as an average of your team score, not by the stuff you do, so maybe someone got damaged by some artillery you laid down but didn't die (this has happened to me before, lost only half health in the doorway of a building), but then someone finished them off and you as an individual got a kill assist of one point. so, that would make for commander score + one point. maybe that's what happened.

oberst..............interesting thought there. I could see that happening. BUt that made me think of another question I had and is it possible that you get damaged from Arty but don't die? I wondered that the other night. Not sure I've ever noticed it or not.

Jojoba..........that wouldn't surprise me at all, considering most of the statistical anomalies that I've noticed have been AFTER patch 1.3

I am 100% certain though that I have been caught on the very outskirts of an arty strike, and just recieved a good deal of damage from the 'splash damage', and not died. The only other explanation is that someone shot me at exatly the moment the arty struck, which I find a bit difficult to believe.

Yes, its possible to get damaged by artillery but not die.
