Hey to everyone at BF2S Forums. I'm new, so i'm sorry if this problem has already been covered. Here goes:

Every time I join a server, I will get dropped almost straight away with the error: "Your connection to the server has been lost." No warnings. The most I was able to play was about for 2 minutes before I got this error. Usually I won't be able to click "done", I will get dropped before that. By the way, I live in Australia.

I have noticed a few things that may be the problem:
* Lately my internet connection has been giving pathetic speeds, and since the servers are low ping only, this may be the reason. One time however, I was able to get in for a few minutes. I checked my pings and they were about 30-50. When I got kicked, I was watching my ping and it was normal.

* On the bf2 menu it says my version is like 1.1 (or something similar, but not 1.3) even though I have patched it. My version of BF2 is the CD version.

So far i've tried updating punkbuster and reinstalling and repatching. I really have no idea why I can't connect properly and play, do you?

What I plan to try next is install the game using the DVD, but i'm not sure if the CD version's cd-keys are the same as the DVD version's.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
