yeah, I think it may be too soon, jokes are made about unpleasant things in America's past (especially on Family Guy), but it's stuff that happened 100 years ago or so. There are still people alive that remember Naziism. I don't think they can get those episodes when Adult Swim goes Euro, though, isn't there still a ban on Nazi symbolism on books and tv and such?

But I do wonder, are there ever any instances where a German makes fun of the whole hitler thing ala Monty Python?

Interesting note, the swastika was originally a "sauvastuka", a (mostly zen) buddhist symbol that was the precursor to the yin-yang one. It's arms originally pointed the other way, and it had a dot in the apexes of the intersection. You can probably find a pic online.  The only modern day instances I can think of it being used inthis way are the "Blade of the Immortal" graphic novels (bitchin btw) on the kimono of the protagonist, and "The Master of the Flying Guillotine"- a 70's kung fu movie, on the robes of the antagonist. Hitler just thought it looked cool. Damn I'm such a fucking dork. I just hate it when shit like that happens, I'm from the South, and I proudly wave the Rebel Flag, even around my black friends, even some of them have shit with the Rebel Flag on it, cuz we see it as a southern thing, but some people have tried to pervert it as a symbol of racism.

but I think people are starting to quit equating it with racism and see it more as a southern thing, since the Klan and the Black Panther's are all but non-existent anymore.

i just complained about starfleet still writes he is from the western part of germany/berlin - although we are a united country since nearly 16 years - isn't germany/berlin as location enough?

By the time I was born, the western part of Berlin was a so-called politically independent Unit. Well, it's true we adopted everything from the F.R.G., but officially we were no part of it, as it was still under military control of the USA, UK and France. Our Passport were the same, but without the Federal Eagle. And were it said "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Federal Republik of Germany) we had a remark "Behelfsmäßiger Personalausweis" (substitutionary Passport).

It's just a time, I cherish. So forgive me, when I state my Location as "Born in West-Berlin".
BTW due to my time in the German Navy, I moved to Kronshagen by Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein.
