I see far too much bitching about BF2 in this form, and I ask why?

I tend to think people have a bad game, or two, and come here and bitch about it. The first game I played on-line was Half-Life, (the first one) and even back then there was noobs, hackers, programing faults, etc... (remember all the hacks in CS??!!) There always will be these elements in on-line gaming... So stop bitching... If you're angry just leave the server, or quit playing for awhile. If you hate BF2 then don't play it...

BF2 is hands down the best FPS / Combat SIM to date. It does have its faults, and glitches, but slowly those are being eliminated. I mean this game has a role for just about everybody, and a ranking system for somthing to work tward.

This game is so realistic, and has so many things going on at once, you just have no controll over whats going to happen from server, to server. And minute, to minute. Who's on you're team, or that chopper / jet whore thats raping you're team. The game is so large, it's almost like being on a real battle feild. Just go in, give'm hell, and do you're best.

its too bad that people maon about this game and make it more shit the first version
the first game i played was vietcong good game coz there where no people comlpaining they made only patches for new maps or new game modes

tho almost every1, including myself hate EA/Dice with passion. We are forgetting that this is an extremely complex sort of game to create, infact one of the most complicated games to date. Try incorporating a shooter, flight sim and driving simulator into one, while supporting securely 64 players in the one game. Quite a task, for even the best of programmers.

I cant remember the name of it but there was a full seprate hack program you could run on the orig CS game. You could select from about 8-10 differnt hacks to run... And it was so abvous when somone was cheating with this.

I read these posts sometimes and realize there are a large amount of people who kind of forget this is just a game.  I love playing the game because it is a game.  I don't spend a lot of time worrying about the problems or the people.  For me, the true experience is playing the game with my brother and sometimes my father.  We work good together and enjoy using voip.  We laugh and have a good time.  I really enjoy getting on a good squad that works well together and play the game as it was designed to be played.  Now that is really fun.  And the funny thing is, when I'm just having fun playing, I don't even realize there are even noobs around.  These posts allow me a good laugh each day.  Keep up the good work, all!!!!

ok, well a few key points:

being in the marines your are in basically the best shape in your life.  you can run ALOT longer than bf2 would let you.

claymores are not indestructible, nor are they smart, and very few are motion sensitive.  most are a trip wire or remote detonated.

in bf2, bullets have no effect on you besides taking your health down.  realistically, you would flinch and lose all of your accuracy if you got shot.

to not even note the simplicity of flying, i will note the inaccuracy of the planes.  the F35 is a very, very good jet while the J-10 is an average run of the mill (more or less) fighter jet.

the DAO-12 is not at all used like it is.  you do not walk around a corner and completely annihilate anyone standing there.  IRL, the DOA shoots teargas and the like, not bullets

I believe it to be a good training sim - you list minors, little details that would bring down the game (from a gamers point of view) - now as BF2 (overall) from a combat view it has multiple good points, you are fighting against fellow gamers that know every trick in the book so from the combat view it makes you think outside the box ie. in the marines they train you in LIC (low intenstity conflict) and doing MOUNT (military ops urban terrain) well with BF2 you can see first hand how those tactics can be used bc you are running around in Warlord or Karkand watching every corner, every roof top for a shooter - with BF2 you get a first hand experience on why squad movement is key to victory and the importance of communication   --- the game has an excellent balance between realistic and just another FPS ,,,,, I also can go on why BF2 is a good training sim

the problem is simple
someone hacks to up their k:d ratio. "They" believe a weapon needs to be nerfed and do so.  They hack it again and "they" nerf it again.  The only people (in this scenario) that are getting screwed are the honest folk. 
While aimbots and wallhacks rule the day.  I have never seen any other software developer nerf a game in mistake of a hack.  That's why people complain, that’s why the forum(s) are full of complaints.  "They" have done an injustice to BF2 in so many ways it's not funny.

I was going to +1 until I saw the "realistic" part....I have to disagree...

Having played games like CS:S, DOD:S, AA, and the BF2 Reality mod I can say that vanilla bf2 is far from realistic.

The only thing I really hate right now about BF2 are the connection problems.

yes i agree and would like to expect that (as an example our little debate, i stated an opinion and you calmly disagreed.  i gave some reasons on why i think like that and you gave a counter-point). the problem is that this is the internet and there are some people who go on here with the sole purpose to piss somone else off.  there just isnt the maturity on the internet for that kinda stuff most of the time

Fair enough, but the shear bulk of bitching and crap makes finding a topic worth posting a response to more effort than it needs to be. Like 1 in 20 or more actually being worth my time to read. The Karma system does not help either.

Personally I think these forums need some more iron-fisted moderation to cut down the crap.
