Couple questions...

How do you earn points truly as commander?  I have had plenty of 60-80 point rounds, usually as the winning commander (luck of the draw)

I want to play as commander to go for my next rank, War College, Medal, etc. what do I truly focus on during gameplay?

- I constantly drop supplies as requested and when needed (fixing things)
- I have some good arty luck and predictions and do not arty non-caps

I am just trying to see if it would be worth it to spend the time to go for the next levels of if it would just take too long.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the lame question.

commander score (before 2X points) = calculated by team average score

Thanks for the reply.  So, in essence, does this mean that as a commander I can nuke all of the people on the other team (theoretically) and receive no points if my teammates kill no one?

ya for the most part. just command. make sure you site targets near squads so they can go kill them and get points, then drop supplies on spawn points when they are about to capture it or right after. dont wait for them to ask for stuff. If you see a dude out in the middle of nowhere and his squad got taken out drop him a vehicle so he can get back into the action.
Just be a good commader. Anticipate what your team is doing and talk to your squad leaders. Tell them to ask you if they want to know if someone is around them even if scan is not ready or is busted you can always zoom in.

The commander points are basically all the points by your team divided by how many people you have on your team. So say you have 10 people on your team, if one person gets 10 points through combat or team points, you will get one, because 10 divided by 10 is obviously one. I'm not sure how it factors in when point leave or join though. Hope that helps.

There is a difference from the global score you get from being a commander, and the commander score.

The global score is your teams average for the duration you are commander. IE if you join a game and there's 5 tickets left and you go commander you will get very few points, but if you go commander at the start of the game, you will get the full average.

The command score is different. I belive it is the global score aquired as commander & command points.
If anyone does not belive me then look at your stats. If you add your combat score, team work score, and command score they do NOT equal the global score.
You get command points when a squad performs a task you have set them, IE attacks a flag, repair a command asset, or accept requests for supplies, UAV's etc
The best way to get command points is to keep your squad leaders happy. If the SL does not accept your orders then you get very few command points.
If an SL requests something try to give it to them, they are in turn more likely to respond to your orders.

USE YOUR MICROPHONE!

Talk to your SL's. If squad 2 requests a UAV and it's not charged, let him know that it will be there in 5 seconds or 30 seconds, or will not be there because it is needed else where but you will zoom in and spot the enemies for him.

When giving a squads orders there are two ways to approach this.
1. Is to give squads orders and hope they will follow them. I say hope because a lot of players will not follow orders blindly unless you prove that you are worthy of giving them. Talking to your SL's will help with this. Let them know why you are asking to take a point, or defend a point.
2. Is to look at where an SL is going and tell them to attack the point THEY have chosen. That way they are doing what they want, but are following your orders as well.

I hope this info help man.

The command score is different. A command point has NO effect on your global score.

your first paragraph is correct but your second doesn't make sense at all. this is how you get points as commander. you got it right in your first paragraph, and you command score affects your global score as its added on to your global score.

Great posts guys and understood.  I deifnately like the headset approach and LOVE IT when you get a lot of thank you and people are ACTUALLY working together.

I f-ing HATE IT when you get a 6-year old telling you to shut up throughout the game when you are being helpful.  It would be a great feature, although unrealistic, to have a mute person "x" during the game.

I dealt with that with a clan I was in a week when I had enough of an old guy (60-years old) bitching every ten seconds.

Anyway, thanks.
