Almost happened to me also. I was sitting in the stinger in mec base on sharqi getting AA badge. I was watching tv at the same time and every once in a while checked the comp screen. Someone just got kicked for idling so i moved my mouse a bit and got my badge.....

Sometimes when I don't feel like playing bf2 I just sit in ground defense to get time for it. Is this bad?
Yeah, it's pretty pathetic when you think about it. People actually trying to play the game could probably use those weapons from time to time and if you're sitting in it doing nothing you're wasting their defense. If you want a game where you can sit around for hours and do nothing go play Everquest 2. The way I'm working on the vet badge for MG is playing karkand and sitting at the rear TOW missile while being commander. Its great defense for people that you spot making their way towards the main base all alone in their jeep. And its easy to spot them coming too with scan and uav.

The really bad thing about it, is taking space on the server from people who want to play, and robbing your team of the support they should have.
Bah, I just sit in the back defenses for the basic badge..no waste but I still keep alert
