Lame tactics, yes.  Does it keep you alive?  Yes.  Are the majority of players guilty of it?  Probably.  Does it matter how you kill someone as long you get the kill?  No.  I'm not sure what pub servers you play on, but I tend to like to pub with better players instead of noobs.  If you want to become a better player, I suggest you do the same.  If you get a kick out of owning noobs, fine, more power to you, and I'm sure your stats will be great, but I prefer and get a better feeling when owning a good player, someone that can compete with you.

Thanks to all the guys who gave me compliments, and to the guys frowing on my dolphin diving and prone spamming...I doubt you've ever played in a competitive environment, where everyone does it, and you are forced to do it yourself simply to stay alive.
My clan ran into one really whiny clan when we were playing TWL 5v5 during the CAL off season that tried to tell us that dolphin diving was against TWL rules and that if we did it, they would take a picture and report us to the admin . That made my day.
Something like that happend to us.  Right after the patch where they made it so you couldn't shoot while dolphin diving, we had a TWL match where this team thought dolphin diving itself was no longer possible, and after we won, filed a dispute saying we hacked because we were dolphin diving.  They lost the dispute for failing to provide a demo of the match.  Good times.

Noobs ftw.

umm no, i don't need lame tricks to do good. i can own up just fine without diving on the ground like a knob. i usually play on clan servers for the teamplay. but 90% of these servers boot guys like u to keep the "realism" of the game. Bf2 is more of a hobby for me, so i like to have fun and don't care about winning or losing. And i don't care about getting owned, 15 seconds later ur back in the game. so your into clan matches and im not, were a diffrent breed of players.
