Master Sergeant to First Sergeant?

I hit 20,000 global points but had not gotten a basic knife or pistol combat badge yet. My question is if I can still get First Sergeant now that I have already hit Master Sergeant?

Since I have gotten now all the required Combat badges to Basic or Higher in most cases today, I still have not received a promotion. I see in the requirements that you must have Gunnery Sergeant to get to First Sergeant and was wondering if I missed my chance since I didnt have all the badges before I was promoted.

Did I miss the in between rank for having awards?

Sorry I think I confused myself since I actually phrased two questions in my post.

question 2: yes (for NOT having required awards)

Yes I used that page as a basis for asking my questions before. I just didnt know that for the "special" ranks in between the global point promotions you had to have all the qualifying badges and awards BEFORE you hit the global score or you lose the chance to achieve it.
