Not a snowball's chance in hell. The only other BF game I can ever see myself getting is a redux of 1942 or of BF2...futuristic battle games = weak sauce, and they've really fucked around with BF2 too much for my liking with all the patches (I've never played another game that had MULTIPLE patches that failed to do as promised, or actually made things WORSE...usually you might get one bad patch with a game, but 3? 5? Jesus tittyfucking Christ, do they have blindfolded monkeys banging out the code at the North American Dice office? I honest to god liked this game more circa 1.03 or so...)
I'm waaaaayyyy addicted to BF2, but after $100 of my cash, and some pathetic attempts to patch this game, I will not further support Dice monetarily, and if I can help it EA (too big to avoid all of their titles these days it seems...console sports games, ya know...), until they really knock my socks off with a fresh game concept, or the aforementioned remake, that gets RAVE reviews.

I don't think so. I might own a ripped copy for shits and giggles. (I own over 40 PC games, all are baught and paid for.) I think EA is targeting the consumer on this release. They have a great thing with BF2 and BF2s, I would like to hold them accountable for all the bugs and fixes we have incurred. If you can design program codes to make a game like BF2, you sure as Hell can write program codes to fix stupid little issues.
Also, I will be glad to see all the wanker BF2 players leave....I'm willing to bet at least HALF jump the boat. That will be a sweet day indeed..leaving quite possibly, the best online war game ever to the rest of us who really love the game and play it for hobbie purposes.

I will try the demo from Quake Wars and i will buy that.I wont waste more money on EA products where the community is on the last place and MONEY is on 1st place.They just rush with stupid 2142 coz they are scared that Quake Wars will be a MUCH MORE better game that 2142.
I hate behavior like this...they give a shit that we cant really enjoy Bf2 coz crashes and bugs....they just want money.If they would do something for the community they would fix the problems and do something for us.

Well this 'noob' played in the original Quake 1 UK leagues 12 years back, and found Enemy Territory the day after it was released, and loved it.
It'll be the Quake Wars for me.
But then again I've Black and White 1+2 sitting here, bought and paid for, and I have not even loaded them on my PC, coz I just keep being drawn back to BF2.

Why would I buy 2142 when they haven't even gotten BF2 fixed? Hell, the reason that we are all getting CTD and having to wait for the new patch is probably due to the fact that the greedy asshats at EA are working on 2142 and not taking care of the rest of us who have already paid our money for BF2, SF, EU and AF. Why worry about us, they already have our cash, time to take more peoples with another game that will require 10 patches to get it right too!

Pre ordered mine last monday, and im still going to play BF2 so i don't see why everyone is getting they're panties in a wad over them releasing another BF game honestly most of us get wore out on the same game after many months of playing it.

Like many of you, I don't find futuristic battles to be all that great... maybe I'll get it - maybe I won't. I personally don't see a problem with playing multiple games... I'll play that new Quake one and this if I get a chance. IDC - if it's fun - great... if not, then oh well.

First off, the BF2142 Battle Walker is no more of a robot than a BF2 tank. The Battle Walker has no AI and must be manned, just like a tank. And there an no lasers in BF2142. I will repeat myself.
