Of the countless hours we've wasted away on this game, what is the one, or couple, experiences that stick with you the most?

I know mine, for some odd reason, is when I was playing wake on the PLA team and was piloting the helo w/ a shitty gunner. My gunner didn't tv the tank, who's MG did a good deal of damage to us. So, I have to book it back to the airfield for repairs when I see an opportunity. The helo pad next to the jet spawn is too hot so I book it for the transport pad and on my way, I land on an enemy for a crushing death, then I ran over one with his back turned shooting towards the flag that was standing on that hill to beside the bunker to the North of the flag. Two very funny kills.

My first headshot in the game.

Target was running perpendicular to my position, full sprint. I lead, wait, and fire.

That shot got me hooked on sniping.

It was the other day actually. I am a fairly average player and completely hopeless with the knife (as you can see with my stats with 39 knife kills). I was on Sharqi map as sniper heading towards the city entrance flag as it was being capped. I rouned the corner to see 4 enemy players busy dropping ammo bags and health packs seemingly oblivious to my impending approach. My heart started pounding and my hands started to sweat as I switched to my least co'ordinated weapon, the knife. I ran straight at them and started my usual futile stabbing attempts thrashing about aimlessly all the while expecting to be dropped with one shot to the head....
I couple of seconds went by and I realised I wasn't dead. I opened my eyes to see:

Malarkeycoon [knife] someretard1
Malarkeycoon [knife] someretard2
Malarkeycoon [knife] someretard3
Malarkeycoon [knife] someretard4

I couldn't have been happier.

I was just referring to the detail that you went into.

The things I tend to remember the most is when something bad happens, particularly if it's something crappy and unrelated to me being crappy (lag issues, dodgy "I didn't press that button FFS!" moments etc.)

But one thing I remember well is explaining how BF2 worked to someone while I was connecting to a game in progress. I spawn into an artie strike; respawn, get raked by MEC chopper; respawn, facing AFV with gun pointing in my direction... there it was, the trifecta Take all three of those things outta the game and I'll spend less time looking at YOU HAVE BEEN CRITICALLY WOUNDED, a lot bloody less.

me[hand grenade]dumb medic 1
me[knife] some guy 3

Ill never forget the time i went ape shit on 5 enemys. The map was Sharqi. I saw the City Enterance flag go neutral. I ran over and saw 4 MEC at the flag. Started unloading with the G36c and killed guy #1 and guy #2. I emptyed the last few round into the 3rd guy but didn't kill him. He was shooting at me so i switched to the pistol and managed to kill him in a few shots. The 4th guy was a sniper and we had a pistol/pistol show down. We both ran out of ammo, He hit reload and backed around the corner but i pulled out the knife and ran around and stabbed him. Quickly reloaded my G36c and mowed down guy #5 who had just ran up. It was one of those pure ownage moments that rarely happen.

I remember the blackhawk days... sigh....

I would pilot and my buddy would gun whilst the rest of the lads would be chucking nades, mines and C4 granting me the precious ammo giving points.  We would fly everywhere; the picturesque Daqing Oilfields, the tropical paradise in the Gulf of Oman, the scenic mountain views of Fushe Pass and of course the wonderfully quaint tourist attraction Mashtuur City.

The miniguns would be blazing, the wrench would be turning and the kill assists would a abound.  I finished that round in Mashtuur with 2 deaths, 0 kills and 155 team points... Oh blackhawk where art thou... *single tear*

Sharqi APC - somewhere between 20-30 kills on one APC run.  I had to resort to running over people because I ran out of ammo.  Most of the action was directed on the other side of the map with the US reclaiming the TV station.  I was recapping flags on the other side of the map - Entrance - Surveilance Post - Hotel loop.

The most memorable?

Installing 1.2. After that, I've bashed my skull into streaks of amnesia about my BF2 moments. They're just not worth remembering after that horrible install.

A 39-0 kill run on Mashtuur in a T-90 a couple months ago.  No deaths in the round and all kills were in the original tank that spawned at the power plant.  I was on fire and unkillable.  Still my best streak.

Memory isn't so good so I'll go with trying to get my aviator ribbon today when a network data corruption error blows my streak of 15-3 from the SU-34. Either that, or the Veteran First Aid yesterday on Iron Gator which took my the whole round to get and still got me 156 points.

The first day I came onto the ranked battlefield, I fought with a clan from the USA.
I was the gunner on a tank and that match got me a couple of ribbons.
Meritorious Unit & Crew Service on August 27, 2005.
Teamwork and routine were the methods, I loved it.
The clan is no longer and is divided all over the place, too bad but that day I will always remember.
Being the green rookie fighting along with the silent grumpy old veterans... the days, the days..
