First Question:
I have a question for you. I have earned the Expert Engineering badges. Both of them. They were in my account for several weeks. I could see them on BF2S and in my awards section of the game. However, it seems that my Expert Engineer Badge has disappeared. Now it only shows that I have the Veteran Engineer Badge. That really blows as I worked hard for that one! Spent hours repairing and getting owned during the process. Is this a normal thing to lose awards that we have earned and posted in our accounts?
Second Question:
Also, I have earned several other badges during game play. Due to the 1.3 crashes, I have LOST many of them due to the crashes. I will be in a game fragging away and get a notice that I won a ribbon or badge. Then all of the sudden 1.3 causes a server crash. Watching cars fly around and other objects appear to lose gravity. Ouch! Because of this I have actually earned some badges and ribbons two or three times. Has this happened to you and is there anything we can do about winning these awards and getting credit for them due to server crashes?

I am fairly new to BF2. Jumped into the game April 1, 2006. I jumped in and was thrashing around and learning my characters. However, after I found out that we earn medals, ribbons and badges I find myself NOT having as much fun. I catch myself saying "I should play the medic because in 50 more hours I get a badge." I don't know. It seemed more fun when I was naive and simple minded about the game. Now I read about squad jumping other player "tricks" to get more scoring points. Now it makes sense to see people jumping in and out of my squads. One time I was a squad leader with no one in my squad. I was in an MEC tank owning the USMC in Sharqi. Next thing I know I have a full squad! Duh...I must have earned over 100 points and won three ribbons. (These were the very same ribbons I earned on another server that crashed and lost them because the game did not end before the crash.) I see other anomalies during game play but that would be too much to write here.
You have to keep in mind that I am 51 years old. I don't have the reflexes like younger folks. Nor do I have the dexterity on my $10 keyboard and $12 mouse. As such, you won't find me standing in line TK'ing others for planes and jets. Those are awards and badges I will probably never see!
Anyhow, has anyone ever been awarded a a badge, etc, only to have it removed? (Doktorbob is NOT my player name)
