Common courtesy is to let someone else fly if they want to and if they've been waiting for a long time.

If I want to pick a gunner or fly solo then I'm the one with special needs and should step aside for those without any such requirements.

Thank you for your input voltage.. but think about what you've said.

How do people get high scores? How do people get their expert badges? How do people get large kill streaks and high round scores?

Yes there are many ways, but I think that the most enjoyable is to kill as many hostiles as possible. If we can understand how good someone might feel about a high kill score round, the decent thing to do is let them have it. Otherwise if everyone shares no one scores more than 40 a round and its a boring place to play.

i must say for a beginner your chopper K/D ratio is impressive o.O I would never let a low rank likeu in my chopper, why? I've given over 100000 low ranks a chance. 1 of em does gd

If we can all agree that when you're on a run it's a good thing can I please ask of some of you the following...

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE IN THE SAME DEADLY MANNER CAN YOU PLEASE NOT FUCKING GET INTO IT UNTIL NEXT ROUND.

Let someone have their glory. If they have three or four good rounds in a row, then feel free to hop in as their pilot and RAMKILL A GODDAMNED JEEP .. WHAT... WHY.. DID SOMEONE CUT YOUR BRAKES? FUCK!

Unfortunatley, That time of year has arrived again.. The Summer Holidays
This means a huge influx of the amount of damned 8 year olds, who come on and decide that they must be best in all vehicles, and so therefore must get it at all costs....
Yesterday, on Wake Island, there was a n F35B just sitting there... with 2 guys who were waiting for the heli... so i hop in and istantly get Srawed by one of the guys who was waiting for the heli... Maybe he was good enough for both vehicles?
Any way, i respawn and unloaded a clip-of-how-much-i-disagreed-with-his-tking-antics-into-his-head, and walk over to the spawn.
I am instantly Tked by another guy who just joined the server who deemed himself the only one suitable for the jet...  who then died on take off by ploughing himself into the sea (rofl).
Talk about Courtesy... its a godsend if they let you live!
edit: i am ranked captain, so im not a noob with a pineapple up his ass

Thank you for entirely (and deliberately) missing my point.

Second account. And given the number of second accounts out there you should reconsider your opinion. And also, just because someone is a high rank it does not mean they are any good.

Well I have some sympathy for that. What I reject is the notion that somebody have more right to the hardware because he's better at the game. I could accept it if the game was made that way (like Americas Army or the unlock system) but that's a different issue.

maybe in a perfact world idiots would let the pros keep the vehicle their using effectivly. but remember, this is Bf2. If someone wants the vehicle your using, they will just tk u for it because every pvt and pfc IS better at it than u are.

actually most of you have very valid points
however ill just bring up a moment the other night

new round on dalian
spawn in  - helos revved up with pilot only
i jump in
* now without a word - or without typing
he heads straight into the redzone
im like wtf - so i ask - do u not want a gunner? - if u dont want one just Fing say so
finally hes nice enough to drop me back at the airfield
but sheez ... -

2 things first of all he could have asked , second he could have at least tried me out ..
- im a good gunner - altho recently my tv's have been acting oddly
and im a good pilot ( enough to solo )

WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR IN VEHICLE VOIP

Seriously, a bit of leniency and forgiveness actually made my evening!
I actually had this happen to me in a nice way the other day... I'm in my tank, pretty shot up so I jump out to fix it... one of my team jump in and starts covering me while I finish up and as I finish he jumps out so I can have it back... it was very refreshing.

I hop into tanks (gunner) being repaired if in a bad area to make sure an enemy doesn't jump in. Doesn't hurt anyone, if I see an asshole teammate running for the tank I will jump into the driver spot- cover the repairer, then get out.

Vehicle drama as I like to call it can be both hilarious as hell and annoying as all fuck.

I'm commanding on Sharqi and this Nublet erynx's our own chopper out of the air. I was like WTF?, our chopper was on a crazy rampage of like 45-0/ and 12/0. The noob's reply? It was his turn to chopper. When chopper spawns, he manages to snag the gunner seat. The pilot is spamming the "bail out" command, but the noob won't scoot.  I decide to do the right thing and M95 the nooblet out. -_-

You can see from my stats (if you look), i don't fly that often and I've only got 5 hours in a tank out of a 100.  As far as flying goes, I can fly but I enjoy ground pounding better.  The only time I've gone choppering is when I'm sitting on top of a building sniping and our helicopter hovers over me while the pilot is yelling "Get in!".  I get in and gun for him until he heads back to the strip.  I usually bail if I see someone else obviously waiting.

As far as tanks go, if I see one unoccupied I'll hop in it.  Its like seeing a Porsche with the keys in it.  Its just begging to be stolen and driven hard.  Usually, I don't tank whore on a spawn point but try to cap flags.  This limits my time in the tank because the enemy will swarm me quick.

For the most part, I leave the tanks/ choppers/ jets alone and let the better players take over.  But I expect the same courtesy when I'm sniping.  Some noob decides to snipe right next to me on a choice spot using the M95 "look for me!" cannon, I'm giving him a push to see if he packed his parachute right!

at risk of my virual death, I'm going to have to disagree with most other people. Just because you're better than another doesn't mean its "common courtesy" to let the better player use it. He paid just as much as you did for the game. You say "I play for the good of the team, so I should have the chopper, that way we win." Sorry, but did the thought enter your mind that that player bought it for his own personal enjoyment and doesn't care about ensuring that his team wins, so long as he has fun? Honestly, common courtesy, as much as there can be in a virtual world, would be to simply wait for this "n00b" to die and get into  the Attack Chopper Line. Secondly, how can anybody be expected to improve if they never get the chance to fly, since there will always be somebody better.

Everyone gets one chance but if they mess up then fuckem, i'm better solo then most pilot/gunners anyway.  Doing loop the loops and spamming bail out usually puts the point across but the ejector seat always culls the stubborn ones eventually.

It's even better when your copilot in the 2-seat jets and the pilot flys to their destination and bails like its their own personal short bus.

I'm a complete chopper whore, and usually I spawn first or second so I get the chopper. But if I die (and if I do it's always the gunner's fault. ha) and someone is on the pad before me, they can have it, even if me and the gunner have a good k/d ratio. Sometimes I'll ask if I can have it with my gunner, or if he'll bail so my gunner can get in. If I know he sucks, sometimes I'll bail and let him solo it up and wait with my gunner. Or, if my gunner gets in and I don't, fuck it, I ground pound. I have never and will never out of bounds someone or m95 them out. Who am I to decide what a person can and can't use?

cablecopulate, I'm with you on this one.  First in, best dressed.  Everyone is entitled to have a go with the chopper, tank, plane, whatever.

As for these turkeys who actually think I should consult the scoreboard before daring to step foot in a vehicle, BITE ME.  If I got in before you, tough shit.  Wait until I die.  And please, don't TK me to hasten the event.  That's just sour grapes.

Max.
