Hey Killers, I know this isn't EA tech support, and the last time I called them long distance i fixed the problem during my 45 min wait.
HAS ANYONE ELSE BEEN THROUGH THIS AND HAVE A FEW SOLUTIONS I COULD TRY!!???
Situation: It started after i loaded Norton 2005 after 2004 expired, on 10/19I have only been able to access BF2 a few days after I loaded it, and now its back to the same problem. I shut down all unneeded tasks, all my ports are open Firewall settings didn't change, All Norton tasks are killed before application, and after I reach the log-in screen and I hit enter all I get is the happy little spinning 2, laughing at me! After a few days I tried using the character look up through email /account lookup and it worked fine for about 5 days. Its been 3 days since my last conflict and I'm so ready to improve my accuracy with my new Logitech G5 I just got today! 11/2

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm no computer expert (I just can build my computer and do the basic OC, etc) but I'd say that if you have any Norton product installed (i.e. Internet Securiy, etc) to totally remove it from the system. Get a better program like AVG or something.

Have you tried an complete uninstall-reinstall of BF2 ?

(That is, uninstall through Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs, make sure all files have actually been removed (find install directory and delete it if it still exists), then reinstall the game)

Fixes most problems.

Go into norton and make sure you make an exception for the exe of BF2. Even when it is "off" it still runs and screws things up.
