From a logistics point of view, giving it an artificial muscular based motion system for the legs would not only make it a lot less tedious and delicate in installation, repair, and adjustment; but it can act as a kind or internal armor for the internal vitals inside the leg. IE: gyroscopes, actuators, and the internal skeletal structure. It worked work Battletech aka Mechwarrior.

This looks just like that Wolf's Dragoons designed battlemech, the Firefly. Or was it Flea?

They even tried making a security guard robot in Japan modeled after Gundam. Its about 7 meters tall and looks like the one in vid cept dark-light green and shoot ?foam bullets? it was on Google news a while ago (about 6 months)

Did anyone hear about the new 1.5 meter tall RX-78-2 Gundam model? It comes with a price tag of 350, 000 yen.

Insertcredit.com has some details about it. With a nice SFW pic of japanese lady standing next it for size comparion.

The creators of Gundam wing did what they could to convince girls to start watching a Gundam series. And lots of girls like pretty boys and and yaoi. I can't blame them for trying (I thought those pilots were "very focused on their mission" before knowing this. Well, except for that one scene. But, still...)

I don't "paint" either. But, I do use an official "Gundam fin tipped pen" to color in the panel lines. In fact there are other pens you could use to color the entire model in at ebay. Using the panel line pen is very forgiving. If you make a mistake, just rub it off. It works with other permanent fine-tipped pens, but the official ones show up best and has a smaller tip.

But anyway, I think that if Gundams or giant robots are made....space colonization FTW. I mean, you could make them compleltely robotized and build a cololny up there
