I got promoted 3 times today?

The title says it, and I wanna see if anybody can explain, and yes I did search. Yesterday I absolutely WHORED bf2 to get 2nd Lt. I finally got off thinking "how the hell did I not get 1st. Lt???" I thought I must have been really close, well I log on today to find that I was more then "close" to it, in fact I was 500 points over. So I go onto a server today to get 1st. Lt. by recieving 1 point, which happened so I got 1st Lt. BFHQ never promoted me though (thinking it just didn't update). Well, after getting bored of the server I went on another server for a while. First guy I kill, I get promoted AGAIN to 1st Lt. I went onto another server, same thing, I got promoted 3 times? Can somebody explain to me, and by the way, when I logged on today my points were at 75,533, which they still are at now after playing a lot today, I dont know how it didnt update and added the points to my global score. Can somebody please explain this? :\

PS: It was kind of fun though getting promoted 3 times (have screenies but not on the comp im on right now), and since nothing updated I bet the next time I play bf2 ill get promoted again...

After getting promoted all 3 times bfhq or bf2s still never showed it and I never got the promoted screen in the bf2 menu, so apparently im still a second lt. and it should have updated by now

if u have been promoted and u leave in the middle of a game it does not go into your BFHQ u have to finish the round in order to get promoted

i finished them, all three times. and actually you dont have to anyway, ive found this out with previous ranks. its a common misconception i believe....

just wait till late sunday night , the weekends always cause problems. I've had the same issue many times, I just keep playing, it updates eventually.

That's correct, it's one of many myths in the game. It's safer to play the round out till the end (especially with 1.3 of course) because the system is a little buggy, what a surprise, but it's not essential.

WHAHWHWAHWAHWAWHAWAHWAHWAHWAH that is really funny .

I always finish my round if i get and ribbon or new rank, not playing on laggy servers helps either .

I'm confused, you where going for 2nd lt. Finished thinkin why didnt u get 1st lt? How in the name of all that is holy could you clock up 15,000 points in a day :S
