they cant force us to buy anything. and Sweden will do a better job on the game than Canada does on patches
the new game will be sick. no doubt. its still going to be the same bf we love, but new locale. it will be cool
Considering the bad support for a new update patch on BF2, I believe that they are placing all their efforts to make a good game on the new release and forgeting BF2 players, I would reconsider that myself if I payed some money to have some good service.^KoB^Buckles wrote:

I'll stick with BF2 until Quake Wars comes out... definitely not 2142. If I wanted full blown sci-fi crap I'd play an Unreal game again. As much as everyone bitches about BF2, you still play it. It's still a great game, even when they mess up patches.
Nerfed blackhawks > Little Bird
Few weeks of relentless claymore spamming > Fun
Sniping pkm kills > yay
Grenade spamming like theres no tomorrow > Still fun
No bunny hopping > prone spamming ftw
I take what I said about the blackhawks back actually, I want that returned. Nothing like a crew of people working together to whore 100 points each per round and double for the driver.

What would be the point of that? Once you've bought it EA have your money so they won't give a crap what you do with the disk after that (unless you pirate it or use it to statpad )specxops wrote:

I won't buy 2142 anytime soon... the next game I'm gettin is MS Flight Sim X. For now, I'm stickin with BF2.

I'm only single mind focused and I can only be totally pissed and frustrated at one game at a time - no 2142 for me - I would just go KASPLAT all over the walls

there is a lan center near my place so i'm going to try em both before i decide to buy either. but i am ecpecting both QW and 2142 to be good games. i know for a fact i'm going to be one of those guys who will be playing titan mode the first few times i play

If its a conspiracy then they really did it very wrong!
I've got it on pre-order, I will give it a go, but I like many are not keen on this sci-fi stuff, but I am sure there are some great features that we will all come to love......Then ofcourse they get nerfed, so come on patch 1.01 (h)

I bought BF2 and BF2:SF because I liked the "modern war" aspect. If I wanted Sci-Fi I'd go for, I dunno, Star Wars: Battlefront 7 or Mechwarrior 23: The Clans Kill Everything.
I'll be sticking with modern war myself. The BF2142 genre holds little appeal.
