US militarys graphics suck

Look at their flight sims. tank wars plays better
Hmmmm......

The last US military simulator I saw was an older USMC AV8B Simlalator, it used 9 Electrohome Marquee 9500LC 9" Liquid coupled CRT projectors each attached to some pretty serious hardware resolving 1080P each to create the simulated image.

Lets see... that would be roughly equal to 17280 X 9720 and thats on an older simulator.

Here it is in a rackmount config sporting 16 units.  Thats up to 64 GPU's in one rack and a minimum pricetag of $280,000 right there. I read that it could take up to 20 desktop CPUs to "unbottleneck" the CPU for just one of these units.

Y'all don't have one of those?

By the way, RE: "A lower-end model will also be available for $17,500"  -  Who's the dumbass who spends seventeen five on a video card and gets the chump version to save 500 bucks? I'm thinking if you're going to go 17-5 for a video card, nut up and get the big boy version and spend the extra 500.

Heh, probably more like an oven.  Can you imagine the heat generated by 64 GPU's?
