Quite frankly, these server crashes are utter frustrating but I know everyone shares the annoyance and frustration equally. I had 5 different Karkand 24/7 servers crash one after the other over the weekend while playing on them.
What I find poor on EA/DICE's behalf is recognising what the server crash problem was, but not deciding to release some sort of "in-between" or temporary upgrade patch so that we can play normally.
But no, what do they do? leave it for the 1.4 patch which is weeks if not months away (speaking in past tense). Yes, I understand coding and getting everything working cannot be done in one day - but if you've found the problem, why not release a fix for it?
Game developers who release a game which will feature online play really need to have some sort of dedicated team which can sort issues out as quickly as possible. Support the community, and it will support you.
