If you want to cut movies, change codecs syncing audio with video, change aspec ratio you should use virtualdub:

Well after installing Limewire Pro, it looked cool, then I had to exit it for something, then it didn't start up any more. So I uninstalled it, then tried to re-install it and it wants me to use the task manager to exit it. Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Nothing happens, I do it repidly 200 times, nothing happens, I restart the computer and try to install limewire pro, same message, Ctrl+Alt+Delete does nothing. So I guess i'll have to Frostwire and no more task manager for me.

and dont download iligal programs.... just buy it, you asked for free stuff, so make sure it really is free. (im against iligal software excluding OS )
Please don't discuss warez on the forums, guys. He was asking for a free video editing tool, not necessarily about trying to get a pirated version of FCP, Premiere, or Vegas.

Personally, I can't stand WMM, and would cut my left arm off before buying something like Premiere. Avid's decent, but you'd still have to pay to get it.

The stuff you get from lime wire is bad. People bring down PCs that are infected to no tomorrow with malware and spyware (And i aint talking about tracking cookies). First thing I say, Do you use Limewire? 9 times out of ten I get a yes. Run a Hi-Jack this log and youll see what I mean.

To tell the truth, I just don't download these files like I did in the 90's. It's just not worth my time and effort to scan each file for malware, and not worth the stigma associated with it. That being said, I still sympathize somewhat with pirating, when, for example, a movie's soundtrack (usually incomplete at that) can cost from $10 to $20 more than the super duper ultra-limited platinum collector's edition of the film itself. The more effort these industries put into not exploiting their customers, the less they'll get stolen from. It's just a plain, simple fact.
