Now I know why everyone loves it........

Well I used to play Strike At Karkand all the time to get my points. Then, I started getting into helicopters more and in jets, and thought, you know Wake would be a good map its got infantry fights, jets, and helos. But little did I know that I would love Wake best for its Noobsthatcampontheairfieldrunway. I mean HORDES of them. I got in my trusty jeep/humvee, and took it for a spin down at the PLA airfield. I ran over about 6-8 guys before one of them got smart enough to whip out his eryx. I even out-manuvered a tank hehehe. I loved it. I also got lots of pointss from doing it too. It's really fun you should try it if you haven't already it brings great joy. I might even try it with c4 strapped onto the car. A few rounds later I did the same thing but now as the PLA pounding the only base that the US had on the island. I was support with the MG36 (it owns) and I ran over around 12 guys and got out and shot down about 6-7 guys wiht my MG36 and comlpetley PWNED man was it awsome. Im doing this more often. I also snipe on Wake Island its a good sniping map too. Wake Island is the new Strike at Karkand for me.

keep it going ..... in my case im playing strike a lot.... mbay ill be more wake, gulf of oman, dragon valey etc... all heli/jet map a bit later in my stats !

agreed, wake has potential...... but.... here are the problems..

Trying to take off in a jet only to have a team mate park a car in front of you.

Guranteed if you go commander some team mate will shoot you with a pistol 3 times before being kicked.

When you play PLA no one squads up and the US get straight onto the island

Then when you play US everyone teamkills for the jet and heli and no one ever gets off the carrier!

wake has it's benifits.... but also its problems..

wake is like a noob attractor.
its a easy map to get LOTSA points on, as i should know as i have only 333 hrs and 200 are on wake:P
it gets stressful, but when ur on a good server with constant admins on site its pretty fun, and noobless.

PLA on wake = Easy win if even played wrong.

With the J-10, the Attack Helo's MGs that actually damage, and a good overall map placement, PLA has the upperhand in this pathetic map of "How long 'till the USMC lose?"

Yes, I have seen USMC win once or twice, but the other thousand times goes to the J-10's cheapness and 'skillz' to rape the carrier 'till you've bombed that thing down to the ocean floor.

but yes i do agree it has "retard magnet" potential, but i always go to other wake server or servers with a map rotation when the mental clinic opens its computer rooms for the paitents. (i'm sorry that sentance is awful)
