I know people with worse lightning are in a advantage but I dont really care about the dude hiding in the shadows. If he starts shooting dynamic lightning is going to illuminate him. Especially in night maps you can ussualy tell where your getting shot from. Notice the guy? Look at the shadows etc, makes it hard to see him doesn't it? (everything is maxed out, max anti-aliasing, lighting etc)

Notice how there are no shadows? If somebody were to hide there I would see them instantly. (same as above except lighting is set to low instead of high.
EDIT: And I do do fine a as a sniper with those settings, 105th (currently) in the world for the sniper rifle.
i had a topic about this on our clan site. i think low settings are much better. it is easier to spot people, and with shadows off, people cannot hide for u in dark places.

lol Ea should put a stop to this. They widescreen gives people an advantage but one of their built in settings gives an even more advantage.
Its not that I like low graphics, its just Id rather habe them on low and save on those valuable FPS - especially when it comes to maps like Sharqi.

I personally think, that if you crank everything to high, the game is more fun to play.
Ive upgraded my rig to a kick ass system recently, and now with all settings on high and 6xAA, the game is much more fun to play, Also i like it when friends drop by, and they cant stop talking about the nice graphics i have, and the fast loading times.
I Also tried multiple settings to get the max view distance possible, and thing that worked best was setting everything to high.
OK in shadowy places the enemy is somewhat harder to spot with shadows on high, but i deffenitly can see enemy's further and better then before,
So i reallt dont understand why people who have the hardware to play it maxed out, are going for lower settings.
The main reason for me to upgrade was to play BF2 maxed out, I love it now, never want to go back.

It's just a low-form of self-cheating really. Think about it, he's a poor player and realizes with lower graphics it is simple to kill an enemy. If he had high graphics on, he couldn't see and he'd end up getting the Purple Heart every round.
It's like statpadding but only you and your friend or whatever knows about it, you just don't feel that great when you get the badge.
Play it with settings. Experience real life. I know people will say "it is a game u noob minus karma" but whatever. If you want to make it all easy easy, be my guest - but for the few honest players left, I'd rather be a private than a general
