Hi, I've been using my Logitech Mx500 mouse for a while now, and I love it. I used the two buttons on the side as second buttons for common usage in the game. And it worked as a charm in BF Vanilla. But now every time I play SF the two buttons don't work. Even when I checked in the options menu at the controls section the buttons failed to work. When I use Alt+Tab to go back to windows they still work. So I guess it definitely a SF problem. Anyone encountered the same problems???

Thanks

How are the buttons for the MX500 bound? Is there Logitech software like for the G5 (SetPoint) that you specify which button is which, globally and/or for specific applications?

Uhm useally it's the back and forward button in the webbrowser and stuff. Butt only on SF the mouse totally flips. It also goes alot faster al of a sudden. =S

Are the functions for those buttons defaults or are they changeable in software that comes with the mouse? If they are just default options (like right and left click) then I can't think of what might be going wrong.

You might want to try asking this in the tech forum also, might get some useful techie guys to see your question.

Right, then are they changed globally or for each program?

What I'm getting at is did you assign certain keys to certain buttons for BF2, and these assignments work in vanilla but not in SF, or is the only option to assign these keys globally?

Don't ask me how and stuff, but the problem seems to be solved now. I re-installed my mouse software and now the buttons also work in SF. I didn't even think about that. Probably because it DID work in |Vanilla =S

Well well al ends well. However I still have the stupid gamespy problems.

A well

Bye
